NECRO POWERS.... ACTIVATE!!!

No idea who Morrigans father is, but I'm sure that she IS Flemeths biological daughter. At the beginning of DA2 when Aveline mentions the rumors about Flemeth stealing children, Flemeth just scoffs at the very idea. Looking over Flemeths lines through the series, she has said and done many things, but never once has she lied. Morrigan also notes similarities between herself and a younger Flemeth... then there are those eyes... @.@

Back to the Eluvian. The mirror in Kirkwall is not entirely a new mirror. The shard Merrill has is from the Eluvian from the dalish elf origin. She used that in the forging of the mirror in Kirkwall. So technically speaking there are only 2 shown thus far... though the rest of Mirror one is still in Ferelden in pieces on the ground.

I don't know if the Eluvians go to the black city or if the were used by the magisters, but I do think they lead to somewhere in the Fade. I think the mirror is a contained and focused rip in the veil built for the specific purpose of physically going there. Why? No idea. In Morrigans case, I would assume it's a place to hide from Flemeth... atleast for a while. I never destroy Merrills mirror simply because... well... the damn thing goes somewhere. How else do you disappear without a trace than going somewhere no Templar can follow?

It's funny how the writers try so how as to not to portrait the elven as the all knowing race that we all know and love, but they did with their own lore. We all know and understand long ago the elfs of arlathan had a majestic Kingdom long before the humans even learn how to use magic. Now all we get these days is that dalish can't come close to what their ancestors were. Everything they have collected up To date, about their past seem to me they themselves don't even come close to understand them. yet human are been portrait as the master who can decipher and understand most elven lore whiles the elven themselves can't. Look at the creature in witch hunt. varterrals, according to Ariane the elven Gods created the varterrals to guard the elves and their most treasured artifacts yet it attacks elfs on sight.

Yeah, BioWare, stop picking on the Dalish. Show a bit of sensitivity in your portrayal of elves.

LMAO. We need to show a political correctness towards elves!

The elves don't have access to vast libraries and magic labs like humanity, as a whole, do. Also, they probably don't even own the relics of their ancestors. I bet the Tevinter Empire possess them now. Good luck knowing your past when you lack the know-how and resources.

I think the Eluvians lead to the Golden City.
And inside is the Beyond , a piece of the world before the Veil .And somewhere in there , there is the souls of the Old gods.

The way I see it the golden city also existed in Thedas as an anchor between two worlds , and it was Arlathan.
Anyway The beyond and the Old souls were still oozing magic , and the elves just tap into this power.(would explain how humans suddenly gain magic when they landed in Thedas)

When Arlathan fell , magic became more chaotic in Thedas...
Also think there weren't demons and spirit before that , that the catastrophe awake the souls and their emotions took form in the Fade.
Anyway that's just how I explain why the elves suddenly lost everything when Arlathan fell...
Their dreamers weren't prepare to face demons and they lost their main edge over humans.

And for Morrigan , I imagine she took the kid there so he can gain its full power.

And the elves probably destroyed their lore on purpose...this just lead to another catastrophe , when the Magisters generations later tried to enter the Golden city without the proper tool.
The Eluvian.

Anyway it's all just theories ...

Merrill's Eluvian is made from the shards of the one from the Dalish Origin (Duncan destroyed it because it was corrupted). So we only know about two.
I remember playing a whole Dalish origin and Tamlen appears near the end affected with the Blight. You kill him. Sad scene. Etc.
