Perspectives after playing DA2 a second time, and what needs to be changed for DA3

1) Character Animations - I don't care if the animations are crystal clear and smooth. While I do have issues with the art style, the main thing that bugged me in the game was the very awkward character gestures, which were weak or awkward. The key moment that looked so bizarre was when Anders sat on his box of shame. He was hunched awkwardly on it, his hands spread out like feelers when he was talking. It spoiled the severity of the moment. Many times, too, that Hawke looked absolutely flippant when talking about a serious issue. Or, sometimes there was an utter lack of animation. Soooo, Hawke sees Bethany again at the endgame. A sisterly hug, please? She looked as emotional as seeing the mailman arrive at her door. For some reason, the DAO animations did not bug me even close to the amount that DA2 did. DAO had its moments, too. Perhaps with the graphic quality, and how DA2 is fully-voiced, that the actions have to match the voice and environment more than it had to before.
2) Dialogue - Many times I was completely confused at what the quest was about or what the character just said. Miss a word and you have no clue on what the heck was happening. Best Served Cold was completely confusing and I had to Wiki it to figure out what it was about. Many of the scenes were so short that you had no idea what was going on nor could really gauge the other companions/NPCs in the game. The Journal hardly has any text so it is useless to check up on anything I missed in the dialogue. I played the Anders LI both times and I seriously cannot find any point where Hawke and him really bonded and chatted and fell in love. Where was the leadup? Because we are dealing with voice-overs, the more dialogue, the more $$$, but seriously, because of this technical "advancement", the story is suffering.
3) Combat Choices - In some ways, DA2 simplified things such that I didn't need to think as much about combat as in DAO, which, since I play mainly for the RP factor, should be a good thing. But I felt it was a bit *too* simplified. I would've liked more combat options, especially for the mages, who are so limited in the spells they can do. Most of the choices were upgrades or passive bonuses. Therefore, it was mainly button mashing on 5 or 6 choices. I also felt no need to use Tactics (I used it once). I normally don't care much about the Tactics screen, but I actually did tweak the default a number of times in DAO. The combat was so simple in DA2 I didn't feel a need to. Lessening the amount of health/potion/flasks was good, though. Collected so much junk I didn't use in DAO.
4) Reusing Areas - Please, do not reuse areas! I could've dealt with Kirkwall having similar-looking housing layouts, but every cave looking the same was silly!!! Blocked out with stone doors, lol. Take time to build your world in DA3.
5) Depth of Emotion - Hawke felt very childish. Her voice didn't help. That and the animations and the lacklustre dialogue made a big disconnect between me and Hawke. The story background is great... the great divide between Templars and Mages. Stuff I can really feel personally about. Yet, Hawke and her companions felt like carictures. Regardless of choices, she always sounded like Sarcastic Hawke. I don't expect the DA series to be all dark and broody, but this one felt comical to play. Bring back some of that DAO vibes. Sure, add some funny characters (loved Varric) and some light moments, but don't overdo it. You have GOT to show more of character interaction and responses. Went all stabbity on Anders and she didn't even blink. Hawke should've broken down and cried like a baby or be so aggressive and lash out at stuff. She had no response whatsoever. Need more emotion. I felt the lewd jokes were more prominent than any romance. DA3 should be a rollercoaster of emotions, just like a good movie is.

Yeah...i totally annoyed when i talk to Emerich (do i spell his name right?) and give the cut off woman hand, the dialogue choice wheel show "They are probably dead", i choose that then Hawke say something like "...maybe you will found floating skeleton" making Emerich got mad saying "Show some respect!", what the hell? That is not what i want to say
I going into the Fade, that is before meeting with Merill, then Merill betray Hawke in the Fade, after that Fenriel quest, i go into Merill house, talk with Merill then she talk about Bethany going into the Circle... hey she just betray Hawke in the Fade....click on her again after that then the cut scene show she suddenly at her bed want to talk about what happen in the Fade...click on her again, showing Hawke coming from the front door and she want to show the mirror...
"Investigate" option also kill the three choice, it is because when the NPCs talk the three choices is the immediate response, while "investigate" options derailed it then answering the first question. Example, Merethari ask "..Tell me child, how is this burden to you?", the if choose "Investigate" Hawke say "Your guards telling me you are expecting me...", then after choose all "investigate" options Hawke answering the first question that the dialogue have no relation at all with the last Merethari dialogue, "A dragon flew and charred some Darkspawn..."
