I've played with, I think, three people with the Lone Wolf banner, and all three of them really did play like lone wolves. And by that I mean they ****ed when they didn't get to do the objective, they ****ed when people went down (or just didn't bother to revive anyone), they ****ed when they went down on the other side of the map and the three of us had fifteen thousand dragoons between us and him, they ****ed when the three of us were tearing things apart with tech and biotic explosions because "that's not the way you're supposed to play". So if you want to solo, go play solo. I think I'm putting Lone Wolf banners on auto kick for awhile unless they can prove they can be a team player.
I wear the lonewolf banner, and I entered a game last night on my GI testing out the new Javalin in hopes to get some quick creds to unlock my Shaman ;d.... I'm not picky who I play with. Any weapon loadout, any build, and as long as it's not platinum---any level. I just want to have games where everyone is having fun, that is my criteria.
I enter a lobby with two guys who are carrying on a conversation. Then a level 8 guy enters. They both start shouting "Hey let's kick him, he's level eight, he's not doing it right." and I think to myself that they should at least hear the guy out, so I refrain from kicking him. Then he proudly boasts "I will outscore all of you, trust me."
We start the game. Level eight quits after his bold statement turns out not to be true. The other two guys decide to try and camp Geth the old fashioned way and miserably fail. I end up carrying them for awhile. Don't mind. Because gold is easy.
The next game, I have a similar problem, only abit worse. I spend the majority of the game ghosting around and reviving people----more time reviving than shooting---making for a very annoying match. I generally don't mind carrying a team. I really don't. There have maybe been a handful games where I litterally felt like a babysitter and this was one of them. I could have kept going at wave 10, but after completing the objective I opted for kicking an Atlas in the shins so it would kill me and end it.
I don't appreciate the generalization, but, I can relate; I understand. They exist for a reason, rarely is a generalization unprovoked. If someone goes down, I make it a priority to run to them above all esle- The only exception is that I will put objective waves first.
