These powers have been requested since before the first DLC. I'd really like to know if there's a technical reason they've been overlooked or if it's just a matter of "we didn't feel like it".

Imagine Shaman roaring 'MURARHHHHH' each time they use Slam.

I though I recalled that the Geth Trooper does have Defense Matrix from when all the classes were shown, but maybe I'm hallucinating.
They assigned the Geth Trooper fortification, as well as flamer and hunter mode.

I know it wouldn't be possible, but imagine slamming a Brute? It would be the most amazing thing ever
Just the thought of it puts a smile on my face..!

The lack of Defense Matrix may seem somewhat surprising. Then again its basically a stimulant pack that does not consume grenades and provides passive bonuses...
I am more surprised about the lack of Defense Drone, since Annihilation Field is basically its biotic variant.

I actually did an unnoticed post the week before retaliation came out with my ideas for new content some of which were very similar to what we got. Top of my list for characters... Slam! Take a look
Come on Bioware. You know you want to...!

Slam would be IMO pretty useless in MP. Sure, it would look cool, but thats about it.

If they gave it a pretty big radius evolution it would be useful for picking out the unshielded mooks in a pack of enemies.

With some tweaks to slam of course

Against a boss, what would Slam do? And Krogans aren't the type to worry about grunt level enemies, they go after big game. Slam would have needed a major redesign from the campaign, in the manner of Singularity.
Otherwise, it would just feel like Pull with a finisher for damage.

As it is right now Slam wouldn't be much more, if any more, useful then pull, and we've decided not to redesign and implement this power right now.

We've discussed slam a few times. But for it to become useful and viable in MP we would need to look at changing it's functionality quite a bit. Since we cannot allow ragdoll effects on enemies with armor, this power would really only be useful for killing baseline troops.

That's what I was thinking. As much as I like the power thematicly, it just is worthless the way it is now.Chris Schanche wrote...

chris when I heard about the male quarian engineer, I was hoping to see defensive drone(something like that I don't remember the name completely) is there a reason this power hasn't been added? I feel like it would be fun to use

Couldn't it be altered to operate like lash and have an evolution to peirce shields/barriers with reduced force and damage?
