Bioware accidentally revealed all of the characters on the select screen the first day Retaliation was out.  There are some vids on YouTube, if you want to see them and their assigned powers.

I understand why slam can't be implemented. However, it could be like lash in that it recieves the ability to act through shields/barriers. Also, instead of slamming an armored unit, it could instead just inflict heavy damage/chance to stagger, since ragdolling an armored enemy isn't possible.

I notice you didn't mention anything about Defense matrix...I'm on to you...

Perhaps just have it work like Throw vs armour?

Small idea if you're still looking:

If used on armor, you could hand wave it as extreme forces exerted on the armor, doing aoe damage. Perhaps even detonating multiple primed targets? Same way throw works, rag doll mooks, applys it's damage to armor.

I actually like pull, well, not the usability but the effect. Pull is a clear case of fun over functionality for me, it's awesome to send units flying all over the map. And insanely fun when you fish out a posessed abomination from the pack and everyone goes 'oh sh*t, you idiot':D

Against collectors at least, I would dare say slam would be usable, can you imagine what would happen if you slam that one abomination in the spawn pack... Or maybe you should go for weight rather than armor/hp bar - I find it stupid that you couldn't slam a turret or a dragoon.

That still leaves Defense Matrix and Defense Drone unaccounted for. Defense Matrix in particular would work well on the upcoming Geth Trooper (didn't it have Fortification?) but IDK where Defense Drone could fit in.

Unrelated but looking at this thread gave me a PERFECT Deja Vu. Right down to every word.

On topic, I feel like the Krodept is underperforming right now and it's all thanks to Shockwave being unreliable. Shockwave, even with the Radius evo, misses far too often because it doesn't travel quickly enough at all, often it's guess work and hope which makes it hit moving targets. When it does hit, sometimes it doesn't detonate the biotic explosion or WORSE STILL, detonates it but the target takes no damage.

Defense Drone seems like the perfect power for a CQC focused engineer something like Defense Drone, Snap Freeze, and something else.

Defense Drone seems like the perfect power for a CQC focused engineer something like Defense Drone, Snap Freeze, and something else.

Why not have it create a warp effect on armor'd targets? I figure that could possibly work.

I really want Defense Matrix in MP and with the upcoming Geth Soldier it seems like a no brainer. How does Fortification with purging the current to the "gauntlets" make sense for a Geth with no gauntlets and AoE heavy melee?

Maybe have slam stagger armored units and apply an effect to it allowing for combos? This would be a good balancer and it could be explained by saying the biotic can't apply enough force to slam it into the ground? Plus a lash-esque shield penetration evolution maybe?

There is no reason why Defense Matrix shouldn't be added, Volus were already put in with shield boost sooooo.

Would is be possible to inflict a warp effect over time on shielded/armored opponents? Similar to the fire damage upgrade that Incinerate gets? That way you could give it to an adept/vanguard to prime BE, futhering it's use.

Slam was pretty useless in the Single Player, so unless they redesign it, i'm not looking for it.

Defense Matrix, on the other hand, is something i've wanted for a while.

Why not just give it like a damage multiplier against armor and make it detonate BE's on armor?

I can't say I'm really familiar with slam though, so I probably don't know what I'm talking about.

Discussed a while back, the defensive power for Geth should be Geth Shield Boost; Defense matrix boosts tech powers which soldiers usually shouldn't have, and Geth Shield Boost would allow for some new directions. That being said, an engineer with defense matrix, defense drone, and something else could be fun to play around with.

Slam could be tweaked to work like throw where it would stagger armored units and apply basic damage to them. Throw in the ability to detonate biotics in any situation, and you've got a good power right there.
