So I installed DAO on my new computer and was playing along when I decided to was a good idea to patch it so so I could get Shale and all my DLC. So after installing it my shortcut to launch Dragon age no longer works. I can still start it it via Origin or manually with the .exe but those are both kind of a pain

Do you have the game installed in the default location, or someplace else?

Ahhh, so i'm not the only one who has this problem as well, i just patched to 1.05 the other day, ( i'm new to DOA & thought ide get a feel for it before i patched up ), & now, the only way i can start the game is via disc or .exe, the shortcuts no longer work.

My DAO is installed in the default location.

Does your shortcut point to the Launcher, or to the game .exe itself?
It should look like this: "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Dragon Age\\DAOriginsLauncher.exe"

(Delete the " (x86)" in the path if you're running 32-bit Windows instead of the 64-bit version like me...)
