Guys seriously, I'm not a hater. I just think $60 is too much for this game since the trilogy is being released for $75. It makes a lot more sense to get it for $30.

Is that hating or being a smart consumer?

as much as the game itself disappointed me, and as much as i hate the endings, original and EC, yes i would still by the game.

i played Mass Effect 1 on release day, ill play Mass Effect 3 and all the DLC until the "end"

Why stay on BSN ME forums if you hate Mass Effect and are not interested in buying ME games? Someone please explain, if you can.

Look, I've been vocal in my disdain of the end of the trilogy, but I still love the franchise and will continue to pay for any and all ME core games and DLC. I don't buy comics or books.

What is with people saying I'll never buy? Why post? Why visit? I can understand the I'll buy later and the I'll buy used folks lurking. I totally get that.

It started out as a way to watch for the inevitable moment when Bioware would realize why we were upset and offer us something to fix it. Obviously that didn't happen. So these days, it's more keeping an eye on the news (and for more ammunition) while I wait for EAware's hype machine to kick in for their next release. Guess there's also a sense of fairness in mixed in there somewhere; if they DO finally break down and throw in a fix, I'll call off my part of the war. Won't be buying anything more with the EA label, but I won't doing my level best to warn other people away, either.

It makes me incredibly sad to say that no, I absolutely would not buy it. (...And I am genuinely shocked to realise that.)

And
the reason is not so much because ME3 was such a disappointment; rather
because the game has now utterly destroyed the pleasure I used to get
from replaying ME1 and ME2 - two of the greatest and most beloved gaming
experiences I have ever had.

Knowing that ME1 and 2 were all in
service of a conclusion that has such a vile message at its heart has
soured my ability to return to them at all - and I would gladly,
gleefully, allow myself to believe that ME3 never existed if it would
give those two experiences back.

:crying: I know what you mean, dray.

I would "silence" the guy who gave me the time machine.

Then I would unveil my new invention to the world...a time machine!!!

As for all this March 6th malarky, I knew well before then (even without a time machine) that Mass Effect 3 would be a wise investment.

If I knew what I know now, I probably wouldn't have bought the first two games when they came out. I had the two greatest games I've ever played, follwed by another that was SO close to topping them. But botched FemShep romances(Jacob, Thane and the non-roamnce of James), plus a slew of problems with the endings turned itinto a subpar game, and that has lessened the impact of the first two.

So, in a word, no.

I would've bought just the base game and then proceed to hack the crap out of it to get the DLC without paying a single penny.

Yes. But only because I'm a fool. I also bought Dragon Age 2, knowing what everyone said. And they were right, DA2 does suck.

It's not that bad, but I only bought it for $10.

It like the devs drw 2  and x on a peice of paper have playerrun up and down the lines for 40 hours.

Note:I still like DA2's combat better then origins.

And they clog up the forums with their negativity.

And then the cheerleaders come in and whine at us expressing our opinion, which is our right as PAYING customers.

More like you guys whine when we state our countor arguements.

Would still be a day 1 buy for me. The original endings were not bad enough to ruin the whole game for me and imo the Extended Cut turned them into decent endings.

Hell ya. I thought Mass Effect 3 was amazing. Anyone that goes on and on about the ending being the worst thing ever are full of crap and drama queens. While I think some parts could have been better but overall it was simply a amazing game. It sadens me we may not get another Mass Effect because of all the people blowing it out of portion the ending.

So anyone who disagrees with you is full of crap and drama queens? Great counter argument. I don't really care about the ending. It's a lot more in the game that I take issue with. It's your opinion that the game was amazing, as it is my opinion that it was lackluster. You should tone down your hubris a bit and realize that not everyone agrees with your opinion.

@dreman9999 - I doubt you have ever seen a post of mine that could be considered as 'whining'. Then again, your(yeah, I can generalize too!) ilk are so busy being sycophants that you can't see the difference between voicing unsatisfactory elements and 'whining'. You're calling the kettle black when you constantly complain about people complaining. You add to the problem instead of a solution.

To the people who state, "If you don't like it, why still come here?", the same could be said for you. If you don't like these threads or the people complaining, why do you read and reply on said threads?
