I just want to point out that the pro-enders are the ones who brought the ending into this discussion. This discussion was more centered around the overall quality of the game and the econmical things that have happened since release.

If people think the ending is the only problem, well, I don't know what to think. It's a terrible Mass Effect game and a very mediocre action shooter.

It never was only about the endings for me-the endings just did provide clarity.  They made the rest of the story by and large to be clearly lacking in ME3.  There were great moments punctuated by contrivance and the player was set up for it at the very start.  It's all hopeless, impossible, so build this big question mark and it will work out for you.  I love it when people say it's a darker game, when I thought ME2 was much darker.  ME3 also features a lot more humor and humorous situations or just some downright ridiculous ones.  Females are blow up dolls with collagen and mammary augmentation oh and butt implants.  Vega is there to somewhat offset that I guess.  And the fetch quests are the most inane pieces of hilarity ever.  I'd rather scan for minerals ten times in ME2 or get caught in a nasty fractal in the Mako in ME1 then do those dumb things.  As if the fleets need to be found.  The whole of the story makes no sense, but it was almost forgivable, something that could be ignored largely if only the endings didn't provide clarity and speculation.

God you're a whiner.

No, I certainly wouldn't have bought the CE and I would have waited for the normal edition to come down to a tenner or so.

If I had a time machine, I'd go back and stop myself from ever having played ME1 in the first place.

If you just ignore ME3 you're left with a story that has no conclusion, if you accept ME3 then you've got a story that just leaves you feeling sick and depressed at the end.

So yeah, I'd rather save myself a lot of heartache and never start to begin with.

Of course.

Mass Effect 3 was a brilliant game, and I'm satisfied with my Perfect Destroy ending after the EC. How could I miss out on the epic conclusion to the story I've been immersed in for the past 5 years?

I don't care what anyone says - ME3 was awesome, the MP is great and I don't regret buying the Collector's Edition.

I'd go back to the moment I bought ME1 and not buy it. The hundreds of hours of joy and fun I had with the series ended up being a waste of time. The ending ruined what was lining up to be a truely great and epic series. ME3 was amazing right until the very end where it felt like I had been kicked square in the nuts.

In my head canon, Shepard and Liara share one last moment before Shepard sets off to the beacon. When he reaches the beacon, he finds the Illusive Man looking rather alot like Saren from ME1. After an excessively hard boss fight, Shepard, badly wounded, stumbles to the console and activates the Crucible. With one simple button press a wave of energy radiates out, killing the Reapers and saving the Galaxy. When Shepard awakes in his hospital bed, he turns to see Liara who instantly grabs at him. As she pulls away she tells him he's been unconscious for five months and after a brief conversation, she stands and gestures towards her baby bump.

If its so horrible and unbarable then why keep coming back here to remind yourself of it? Move on with your life

I think you should understand that people have perfectly logical reasons for not liking the game. You liking the game places no obligation on others to like it for the same reasons you do.

The reason why people come here to complain is simple. This is a discussion forum. People who loved the game have no monopoly on this forum. Why do people who love the game continuously post about why they love it and how everyone should also love it? They've shared their reviews and opinions, why should they continue posting about it? I'd wager because again, this is a discussion forum. If you want a place to go where no one complains and everyone throws accolades at Bioware, then a public forum probably isn't for you. Making a private group would be more suited for those who can't bear to hear anything displeasing about a video game on a -again- public forum.

This is not my arguement but you have made yourself out to be a hypocrite(Look at bold lines).Key word is discussion. You are here to discuss about the game not go "I hate this game. The endings ruin the whole trilogy!I'm never buying another Bioware game again!" or shoving your opinions down peoples' throat & forcing them into fact.Another thing if you hate game express your feedback unless you want to discuss something about the game without bashing other peoples' opinions or shoving your opinion down someones' throat.People who hate the game should have no monopoly on this forum either.Like you said, this is a discussion forum.People on the internet think forums are for complaining & more complaining but they are not.90% people on video game forums are the ones who ruin video game enjoyment.

Yes I would still buy it. Because I still think it's a good game(despite its flaws) and the Extended Cut fixed the ending enough to where I'm content with it. I'm still not happy about the direction they took, but It's a lot more satisfying than it was before.

Yes, but I'd have the foresight to wait for the EC before finishing the final mission.
I'd also buy whatever Mass Effect project they're working on next, sight unseen.

The pain I had to go through because of this game helped me in the long run, so yes, and I wanted to give some money to them since I didn´t buy the first two games.

You know what, even though I hate ME3 I probably would have still bought it. I definitely would not have bought the CE's ( I also wouldn't have bought 2 copies, I would have only purchased the PS3 version and ignored the 360 one due to all the flipping disc swapping ) and I wouldn't have bought them at launch, I would have waited until the price dropped and it was relatively cheap but I probably would have bought it somewhere down the line just so that I could finish the trilogy.

My only regret was not buying collectors edition instead of the standard game.

Since I first completed ME 3 (even before the EC), I have been going back to the earlier games and starting new characters and bringing them up through the entire series.

Is it a perfect ending complete with riding off into the sunset? No, it's better IMHO, in that much still remains up to the imagination of the player.

If I could go back to before ME1 was released. Before I found out that from the start of ME2 onwards the franchise was going to slowly slide down the crapper. I wouldn't have bought it and thus wouldn't have wasted over 2000 hours playing it whilst waiting for the second one.

If I could only go back as far as before ME3.  I'd cancel my CE pre-order and wait to buy the game used. That way i'd get to at least finish the story ( a term I use loosley ) whilst not giving BiowEAr any money for relesing such a piece of ****.
