Knowing what you know now, would you buy ME3?

I would have most definitely canceled my pre-order and waited until I could purchase it used for less than $20.00. That way I would have seen all the reviews and reactions and my disappointment wouldn't have been so strong.

On another note: Amazon has it new and used for less than $20.00 right now--the purchase price for it's next DLC. Just seems silly to me.

No way in hell.

I wish I could erase my memory so I didn't even know about ME3... Of course I wish I could erase my memory of DAO so I could play it like new all over again and experience all those wonderful delights, surprises and feelings all over again.

but no no I would not purchase ME3 I would pretend it did not even exist way more successfully than I do now.

No, I may have waited to buy it used when it was under $30.00.

I absolutely would not purchase the game, no. I regret doing so every time I think of it, even though no one could have reasonably expected this. Hell, I feel slightly disgusted with myself that I stupidly kept some faith in Bioware during the initial endings reaction and did not attempt to return the game for a full refund, like many others.

I'd buy it used if it was very cheap, I guess, maybe. That way I could still experience the 99% of the game that's great if I wanted to, without supporting the company that utterly destroyed this excellent series. But I dunno; a Let's Play might even be good enough for me.

I would simply wait for EC. The original ending's idea was alright but it really sucked.

I would go to my 19 year old self, look him straight in the eye, tell him to stop crying over his brother not pre-ordering him the Collector's Edition, tell him to phone his brother right that second to cancel the pre-order (move it over to Black Ops II), and I'd warn him over all of his dreams for the last 3 or 4 months would come crashing down if he played the game. Might tell him that there will be a trilogy edition coming out and he should get it in a year and a half at bargain price.

Then, thanks to D.O.B., I'd ask my 19 year old self if he'd like to have a good old round of fisticuffs.

I would... once it hit $15. A fair price for a "meh"-game (considering I am aware of endings and went through anonymous depression treatment already). I still would be disgusted by endings, but it wouldn't hurt so much should I be prepared for it in advance.
By the way, this was my first pre-ordered CE and my last one with no doubts. I am not even sure what I am doing on this forum again! Aghh, the pain & misery return! *Evacuates to DA3 forum*.

Yeah. I don't think I would have bought the collector's edition though. I think ME3 is a decent game. It just had it's annoying moments.

I would go further back in time & remake the entire script to me 3 & even me 2 so the story can be connected.

no, I would have him send me back to 2006 use my knowledge of the way stocks will perform (or winning lotto numbers) to get enough money to purchase Bioware so that EA can't give them copies of ME2 and ME3 and let them know what the major gripes were with both, then let them get to work on making great games.

I like the way you think.  Image IPB

my expectations werent high at all for ME3. i thought ME2 was a crappy spinoff to what ME1 gave me. so i wasnt expecting much at all. with ME2 i complained alot about enemy protections, which i still hate, they are so stupid, but the lack of consistency with the story, or lack of forward progress with the story was the main reason the game had no staying power with me. the ONLY reason i thought ME3 was going to be worth the price tag was because of this god damned forum. people kept saying "bioware knows what they are doing, ME2 is just the middle of the trilogy, ME3 will probably give you the conclusion to the story that was set forth with ME1. dont worry spamming troll, bioware KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!!!"

to answer the OP, no. i wouldnt even buy ME2.

Actually, since we're assuming some form of time travel is possible, could we just skip the whole warning ourselves thing and instead just go back in time and slap the ME3 writers repeatedly until they come up with a good idea for the ending? I know there's the whole time paradox problem, but I'm pretty sure I'd be willing to risk the dissolution of all creation for a ME3 ending that isn't crap.

I certainly wouldn't buy it on release/Collector's Edition, that's for sure. I'd still get it, though.

I would have bought it on release, just not the CE.

Yes, I would of bought ME3 with knowing everything. I loved the experience (and the extended cut endings) and the MP. Worth the purchase.

Nope, wouldn't cancel my preorder.

I still think they're going to reveal the ending most people really want once all of the SP DLC has been released, so if everyone cancelled their pre-orders then the game would've sold too poorly to justify developing DLC and we would've lost out for sure.

what even after Bio have said more than once that the EC was it and there will not be any further ending updates?  Wow what can I say?  I so hope you are right but I dout that there will be any more ending (ok maybe some fan made)

I care nothing whatsoever for multiplayer.  If anything it was a strike against the game for me.
