I have three friends. All ME fans. Out of the four of us, I was most excited for ME3. They were...more cautious about it all. I expressed my opinion with the game and ending (without trying to give away spoilers), which was not very good, after I finished it.
As far as I know, none of them have bought it yet, nor planning too.

I won't let one small poor piece crush the rest of the epic experiences.

Or fans of Bioware severely distressed at the direction it's taking.

For anyone that's keeping track, that's over a 90% knock-down, because I live in Australia, land of the video game price-gouging.

Yes. But only because I'm a fool. I also bought Dragon Age 2, knowing what everyone said. And they were right, DA2 does suck.
It's not that bad, but I only bought it for $10.

It's an amazing game, even if you don't like the ending, and Mass effect is my favorite franchise ever

Used the refund to buy the winning numbers for the lottery megadraw that Saturday.
When all ME3 DLC was done - check it out on YouTube - if it alters the base game in ways that appeal to me - buy it then - and play it on my eleventy billion inch stupid definition projector.

Say you met this person who had a time machine. He sends you back to March 5th. Would you cancel your pre-order? Would you not go to the midnight release? Would you not buy it the next day?
I personally would wait until it was half off. It's the economical decision and they're releasing the whole trilogy for $75, so yeah. I paid $20 each for the first two and if I paid $30 for this one it would've added up perfectly.
No. I would still watch a playthrough.

Absolutely I'd cancel it. I'd ride it out and then pick it up in the bargain bin for a fraction of the price.
