Well, title says it all really... How can I open third party module in toolset to examine it? I am sure this was covered before but my search of the forums was unsuccessful.
Help (or a link) would be greatly appreciated.

If you want to examine all the UTI files and such, you need to extract it from the ERF. You can just go the (at least on Windows) to Documents > Bioware > Dragon Age > AddIns > [Module Name] > module > data, or [module name] > core > data, and drag the ERF into the toolset. Or use an ERF extractor, but I just use the toolset.
Right-click on the file you want to look at, click "Extract Resource...", save it to wherever, then open up the newly extracted resource in the toolset.
If that isn't what you meant, well, I have no idea. D:

That's kind of up to the mod creator to provide you the files you need.dariusp wrote...

The toolset will export compiled scripts and such, which cannot be easily modified.
There is a Builder-To-Builder export option in the toolset, and I believe that's what they would need to do, unless they can give you the raw *.NSS script files, etc.

Thanks for the reply EJ42. I thought that I might start learning about toolset by examining mods of others but I see now that it isn't possible.

You can open up the single player campaign and inspect that. In fact, 95% of the things most people will want to do probably have an example in there somewhere.
If you find something you really want to learn, you can also try sending a PM to the mod maker and maybe they will send you a builder package that you can import into your toolset.
Good luck modding

Well, I have a similar problem as well. I updated my toolset and didn't realize (until afterward) that I shouldn't let it update the database and I lost all the work I had done on some of my mods. Is it possible to get them back into my database again so I can edit them? I wasn't quite finished with them yet, and am a little hesitant to go back and recreate them.
