Does "Tactical Cloak (4) Damage" affect weapons or just powers?
Does this stack with ammo damage modifiers?

but the 20% bonus lasts for 10 seconds. Since the cooldown is shorter than that, it's effectively identical to a 20% bonus the entire damned match.

.

^ That was my thinking on it.

Originally I specced for bonus power, thinking Overload from cloak would be handy for bosses but then realised the wording for the AR bonus was 'for 10 seconds after activation of TC' so respecced to take that.

If I'm reading that right, and if it's working as intended, then you can pretty much cloak, Overload, start firing, getting bonuses to everything. Is that right? Because that's how I've been doing it, lol.

I cannot express how much I love that there is a character who makes pretty much every AR fun (and viable) to use on difficulties above Bronze. I got more than two thirds of the way through Headshots 3 trying out the Phaeston (<3) and GPR on him

I prefer 6/4/6/6/4, Harrier+Acolyte.

The only thing i would say is i think you may get a lot more bang for your buck by switching out the piercing mod with an extended barrel.

Afaik armor in the game works by taking a flat number of damage off per bullet, something like 50-60 on gold , down to where a bullet has 5 damage minimum.

So if you have a fast firing low damage assault rifle, that does say 60 damage per shot, you would only be doing 5 damage per shot on gold. If the damage was low enough you could throw on an extended barrel and still only do 5 damage per shot because you did not get above the flat number taken off by the armor.

Again afaik because of the maths there is a magic number of damage per bullet, above which you get more effective damage from adding an extended barrel than a piercing mod, and the sabre is way above it. On top of that, the extra damage from extended barrel applies to all enemies, not just ones with armor, which means the effective bonus is gives to the damage you do as the round in a whole should also be much much greater.

edit
confirmed. it is minus 50 flat damage per bullet on gold.

Ghost + Saber = <3 ...true <3

Sadly, I promoted the class, and on my second playthrough last night, when I went from level 13 to 14, my unassigned points went from 2 to MINUS 22!!!!

The ghost is the only one of my infiltrators so affected. I have no idea what is going on...I only know that I can no longer assign points to him....

Only putting 4 ranks into Stim Packs while putting another 4 into Fitness is a crime :P I mean, if there is one character that has no use at all in Fitness, this is probably it.

As for the Gear, my preference goes to Grenade Capacity as getting 5+ stim packs will prevent you from needing any point in Fitness and wasting Cyclonic Mods.

This is viable, I understand what your saying. I play a little thick headed at times, and for me personally the little extra fitness helps me, during that "oh-no I shouldn't have done that" moment. But I'll try out Grenade Capacity V with the fitness points relocated into Stim-pack.

I skiped overload. Harrier + Acolyte takes care if it. Sometimes I even get a Phasic ammo but its kind of overkill...

6/6/6/6/0 here. All damage on cloak, all damage on Stims and CC + max chains on overload. Warfighter gear and stims keeps me alive well enough, but I tend to get reckless :P.

I'm inclined to promote him, and go for a more defensive use of stims instead, similar to the build everyone seem to love in this thread :).. But for the time being, this works just fine.

Oh, and Harrier is <3.. But the Saber kicks a proper ass as well. Depends on the conditions :) I prefer the harrier for big mobs, and saber for easy dispatches of mooks and non-bosses.

For those suggesting Typhoon, why? It's extremely heavy, which would cause a long cool down if you don't get your shots off quick enough from cloak. It also has a delay for full ROF and damage, which cuts into your TC damage window.

Cloak cooldown is completely dependant on how long you cloak, and since you should only be cloaking for a split second to get the damage boost, cooldown is a non issue.
Cloak buff lasts 2.5~ seconds after complete decloak and the AR buff lasts for 10 seconds, and since the cooldown is shorter than a full typhoon clip, you can cloak, fire, and then just keep cloaking for as long as the clip lasts; non-issue.

That's why I said, "if you don't get your shots off quick enough." There's a very short window before you hit full cool down.

On the TC damage bonus I get that the +20% lasts 10 seconds. I'm more worried about the 80%

I know what you mean :D The thing is, with 6-7 stim packs, the moment you drop to health gate, then you know it's time to use a pack. It will reload your shields instantly with the damage bonus and off you go.

But yeah, try out the Grenade Capacity (even without reallocating Fitness points) ; I have it at IV and it's awesome to know I have 6 stim packs (one more than the total Spec Ops consumables). I tend to visit ammo boxes during a wave to make sure I'll be able to have 6 of them when the next wave starts since I don't always know which box(es) provide 2 grenades. But maybe I'm playing too conservatively.

This is the class that made me use the striker for third time since it came out. Put stability damper + extended magazines. Then go for 6/6/6/6/0. Full damage build. You will love the Striker...

Yeah 6/6/6/6/0 in fitness is my vote as well. Getting shot? Pop a Stim Pack! You can just refill them so use them when you want.

FYI because I have been hearing a lot of people don't know this. Grenade Capacity or Warfighters will up your Stim Pack amount. Also Thermal Clips refill Stim Pacs as well.

You really don't need fitness at all. You should be popping Stim Packs like crazy since they are so easily refilled. Don't worry, the first one is free......
