If Mass Effect 3 was the worst game you've ever played then I'm genuinely jealous of your ability to strategically dodge other games that are downright terrible.

TO BE FAIR.

These are some games people find to be terrible, that i still enjoyed.

Duke Nukem Forever. (i give it 5/10 its not terrible for me, not great, but i still had fun, and it was at least consistent)

Kane And Lynch 1&2( 7/10 Frankly i think the series is quite underrated, especially 2. I loved the tone of it, but again, nothing great, but no where as bad as some make it out to be.)

Oh I've got 2 more here

E.T Atari 2600
Almost killed the entire video game industry after driving Atari to bankruptcy

Daikatana
Made by the creator of Doom and Quake who had 100% creative control, was completly subpar despite having a $25 million budget and high expectations

As others have mentioned, the Star Wars prequel trilogy, One More Day. ME3 doesn't even come close to those two.

maybe, maybe not. though i think it would be safe to say the ME3 is the one more day of video games. if not the same level of bad it s still the top of the bad heap.

What is One more Day?

Also, the star wars movies were bad, but like i said, at least they improved, and Lucas didnt blatantly lie to us and give us false promises.

One more day is when Spider-Man makes a deal with the devil (literally) to save his aunt's life.

lol...now i feel like reading that

ME3 is far from the worst video game. Ulitma IX, DNF are both worse games.

I dont recall one that had such unanimous hate, and was so flawed that you couldnt ignore the evidence, if so, please state so below, without spoilers.

It wasn't unanimous hate but it was generally agreed that it could've been better.  The EC for the ending was really what the original ending should've been.

What about Diablo 3?

I wasn't as invested in it as I was Mass Effect. But i do remember lots of people being very disappointed. including me. I went and played D2 instead ;p

People already mentioned DNF, the Star Wars prequels, and the ATLA movie?

Right, then. Nothing to contribute.

... Alien Resurrection? That was pretty good up until the WTF ending...

This thing has been blown out of proportion by the fanbase. The EC was pretty good and addressed the lack of closure of the original endings. All in ME 3 is still a pretty awesome game.

Yeah because lack of closure was the only problem with the endings.

Oh without a doubt this ending debacle was blown waaay out of proportion. But that doesn't mean there wasn't some merit to it.

I respect those who are now satisfied. Actually I envy them. I wish I could move on from the endings, but I can't.

I will agree with you though that ME3 is a pretty awesome game. I just need to prepare myself for that ending every time...

Every time I see that name I die a little.

That movie destroyed my childhood (Yep, while the rest enjoyed stuff like Power Rangers, I was a fan of Aliens )

Never mind total destruction of the canon, reversal of the game's core themes, and a total failure to live up to promises...

I will admit that ME3 was a good game--orgasmic in certain places--but its flaws tend to be really conspicuous.  I mean, even Miranda's ass wasn't as in-your-face as some of this stuff...

I would say it was much better, until the illusion was shattered by the sheer jump in logic.

Anyway, I really can't name a game series that fell as far as Mass Effect did.

DNF- Didn't play the originals, wasn't expected that much. Had a few laughs. Was alright for the expectation.

I think Dawn of War Soulstorm was about the worse it got, but it didn't rate a "WTF!" for me.

Yeah - I don't think BioWare has too much to worry about.

This time next year - we would have a couple more huge gaming disasters - and ME3 will be a fading memory.

Used only in general lol discussion as a side commentary in much the same way as C&C has become.

*snicker* - C&C - *snicker*

Oh wait - yeah that was another big disaster - C&C4. Man. You think these forums are bad. Whoa. You should have been on the C&C forums from when 4 was announced. Holy tolido batman.

Yeah, the series peaked in quality with Aliens, I think.  Alien 3 was awkward, and Resurrection... I don't even.

Prometheus wasn't bad.  Pretty to look at, but the plot was lame and the characters needed work.  Basically, if James Cameron's Avatar was a horror movie.

Predator 2 was also godawful compared to the original.

To be honest, pre-EC ME3 ending had to be one of the hugest disappointments I've experienced in Video Games. Basically because how good ME2's finale was. I didn't expect the same developer to fail so miserably with their most important game to date.
But to be honest EC really made it way better. Still no close to ME2 but to average.

But my biggest disappointment so far has been Rage. Game made by good developers turned out to be un-optimised short pile of garbage with terrible ending.
Oh Crysis 2 ending sucked too.

And movies??? Oh boy. Prometheus all the way. 20 years waiting for alien prequel to get a movie that asks more questions than gives answers... and answers are so lame a 10-year old could have guessed them.
Scientists acting like morons, weak un-memorable character and very dumb&confusing plot.
Alien Ressurection: At least characters were well acted.

In terms of video games? I think ME3 tops the list. Nobody really expected DNF to be awesome. People hoped but after 12 years I think we all knew subconsciously that it wouldn't be as good as the games we remember.

Movies have a couple as people have mentioned: The Phantom Menace, last Matrix film, Batman & Robin, any film Shia LeBouf is in.

There are many great books that have terrible endings, and larger series have had reactions from their fanbase.

Oie... that was a bad one. Quite sad really. Enjoyed 3 and Kane's Wrath.

Odd, I am surprised not to see Dragon Age 2 already listed for to me it was far worse then Mass Effect 3.

I know a lot of people that were extremely upset with Skryim on the PS3 because of how it ran so badly on the console and speaking of Sony, how they handled the Anonymous hacking incident or the lawsuit against the guy that modified his PS3.

A bigger disaster, as in a dissapointing game along an ongoing franchise?

Many of the Sonic games after Sonic Adventure 1/2 on the Dreamcast are an honorable mention. That series in its later years has a notoriously sour reputation.
