"Disaster" is completely subjective.
No it's not. Not in this case. Or maybe you've forgotten what the month of March was like for Bioware and the fans. It was a pretty ugly month for both sides.
Not for me. I had no expectations one way or the other how the game was going to go. An exception to a rule disproves the rule. What
was the point of this thread, anyway? Using loaded words like "disaster" - like it wasn't a lame attempt to stir up controversy.
The so-called "March Explosion" of whining and angsty bullsh!t just
proves my point. Expectations were not met. The leak dashed a lot of them and Bioware's response wasn't remotely helpful - but the diarrhetic explosion of thoughtless hate and frothy derision and the downright stupidity involved in "taking back" what was never ours to begin with didn't help either.
Oh, people think they "conquered" EA or whatever - but it's a simple maxim: money talks and bullsh!t walks. It wasn't the fans' "righteous anger" that changed any minds - it was just EA's fear of losing future revenue. That's it.
Even after all the attempted appeasement and fixes, people are
still whining about it because
their personal expectations are still not being met. There comes a time when it stops being Bioware's fault and starts being just vindictive asstards egging crap on for their own petty dissatisfactions or out of sheer spite, or because they think they're on some assinine crusade against EA.
Eventually, Bioware will stop altogether because the money will stop talking and folks are just gonna have to suck it up and move on.
