That Virmire 2.0 scene was crap and was rightly cut, who in their right mind would save the whining, paranoid VS over Liara?

Funny how you call the VS whiny when all Liara does is whine about Thessia's destruction during that mission even though every other species has been going through it the entire game.

Goodbye T'soni.

Seems a really convenient way to kill off your least favourite squad member.

Liara's reactions on Thessia didn't annoy me for the most part, seeing as she isn't a trained soldier. The only line that grates on me is "Next time we go to war, perhaps the Alliance could spring for air support!"

Excuse me dear, our planet was one of the first to get worked over. Perhaps the Asari should have done something sooner.

.
Oh yeah, how could I forget this? I wish I could slap her so hard and say: "The Alliance is fraking spear heading this war while your race sits back and hide critical intel. Shut the frak up and pull yourself together!".
.
I miss those great renagade interrupts from ME2.

This would have given me great joy. How can it not be what every player is thinking in response to a thoughtless line like that?

Because Bioware loves Liara and thought everyone else does too.

Or maybe because the alliance is the most selfish faction during the war? Every race promised to send their best forces to take earth back...when at the same time the alliance did nothing to defend the other homeworlds.

And the "Virmire" choice on Thessia was really dumb. Sacrifice Liara to who Shepard owes her second life for the VS who betrayed Shep a few moments ago? sure...

I'd be fine with her if she'd just do her shadow broker thing and stay away from my missions and out of my cabin. All in all there were too many forced squadmates in the second half of the game. I want to use my Alliance squad (soldier Shep, Vega, and Kaiden) but there are so many forced squadmates I could roll with that squad on only a handful of missions. Tali, EDI and Liara need to gtfo.

I absolutely love the way Mr. Day 1 DLC smacked down the Asari theology. Javik should visit Earth today and do the same thing with all our garbage religions.

That's not even the modern asari religion; that would be siari, which doesn't involve deities.

Who are you?

I am that I am.

He didn't do that either. It's logically impossible for the asari to have taken any information from the beacon without the Cipher. The Protheans deflected an asteroid and some alien marauders, but the asari developed on their own otherwise.

I didn't think she was annoying. However, her acting like hers is the only planet or people under attack bothered me to no end. And Shep was just as dumb with the auto lines.

"Next time we go to war maybe the Alliance could provide air support!" Yeah, and maybe next time we go to war your people will jump in before it becomes their personal problem instead of telling everyone to f**k off. And the Alliance can't provide support because they are busy on their own worlds and oh yeah, building the Crucible that will hopefully save your ass.

The point is Garrus wasn't entirely teary eyed on Menae, Wrex was more interested in Killing the Reaper on Tuchanka (same with Tali), yet "super badass shadow broker" Liara is the only one who has a mental breakdown?

And why does Shepard care so much? This **** is happening all over the Galaxy, yet apparently Thessia is the planet to save?

Railroading in Mass Effect is bad.

..BS. He spends a good time telling you he doesn't even know wheret o begin with stopping the reaper. He goes on an tells you how heavy the pressureof leading is to you.

I don't remember all the dialogues in that mission, but I think Javik says they teached the Asari how to write, agriculture, mathematics and more. Not to mention Asari's biotics are product of Prothean genetic engineering.

To be honest I found Shepard/Hackett/Udina/Alliance guilty of the same thing.  Shepard and Udina go to the council and ask for the Turian, Salarian and Asari fleets to assist Earth, but the councillors are all "errr, no, we're being attacked too."

Then Shepard and Udina throw a hissy fit that they didn't get their way.  At that point I was wondering why the hell he was acting like this. Like you say, another problem with the autodialogue.

I'm going to take the word of the Avatar of Bigotry who never learned anything apart from war with a grain of salt, thank you very much.

exactly...and this is addressed multiple times in the game. To use the beacon, you need to be a prothean, or at least have the cipher. The asari couldn't activate the beacon.

Liara: I've studied Protheans my entire life. If I'd been shown the beacon on Thessia earlier...
EDI: You would have needed Shepard's cipher to comprehend it.

The Asari got a head start compared to other races in our cycle, that's all.

Yeah I remember. Right after the Council meeting, Shep says something like "Pff, they're blind". Um, Shep, I love you, but they ARE trying to protect their own people, they're not going to abandon their own species just to save Earth. You may be pissed about it, but they had a point there.
It could have been a dialogue option, but to have all Shepards react that way...

Liara IS annoying, but it's not the character fault because it had a lot of potential. It's the writters fault for:

Making her shadow brooker: Totally pointles, she doesn't even do anything significant...I really hoped that LOTSB would have more impact on the story.

Making her the center of the world...I like characters and when they are important but Liara is just thrown at us constantly, when a lot of people would like OTHER characters to make apperance, say something etc.

Also: Hate this drama-queen on the bed after seeing thessia...helloooo bw when her mother died she was less dramatic...

I completely agree with you. "Forget your own planets and help save ours! Turians, I know Palaven is under attack but I need your fleets because my planet is more important!" I just didn't mention it because we were talking about Liara, but I agree with you 100%. Just more sad proof how much the auto-dialogue killed this game.
