You do need grenade powers to effectively use grenades, actually.

I assumed the skill evolutions to upgrade the grenades upgraded the grenades themselves, hence the buffs to grenades as explained in the skill evolutions designed to buff them.

Why have everyone forgotten The Almighty Biotic Orbs. I mean, they look so badass anyway. Walk in your office with a bunch of orbs and suddenly NO questions why am I late... BECAUSE I AM A BIOTIC GOD!
