Though I'm a bit disappointed that there propably won't any new forces, after few quick calculations I saw that he will be able make 1025,325 damage per second to armored enemies with properly build Fortification and Hunter Mode and both powers on. If he did whole animation of flamer, he would make 6151,95. If someone could tell me how much armor does, for instance, Platinum Banshee have, I'd be glad. On the side note, he can make all those damage to few targets at once. It makes Geth Soldier quite good character, if you ask me, especially for Reapers with two unshielded but armored units.

How exactly do you get Flamer to stack? Just cast it on a boss, animation ends, cool down, recast again?

And do people take the damage or the duration evolution for their Flamer?

I know, but that is good only vs bosses, and can't score headshots.
I tried several times with vorchas, but I found just quicker to shoot the head with my harrier.
I may have used the flamer incorrectly, but still I think it's a bit slow to kill targets compared to a strong weapon fire.

i would have rather had a tanky geth prime/ geth rocket trooper than a pyro
and this pyro we are getting better get the hidden range bonus that extends beyond the animation

Heavy weapons spec w/ full HM and Fort, and a very fast shield refresh rate w/ geth weapons is how I'll prob roll mine. I like the idea of having a wall-hacking heavy unit that can actually move around fast and dodge, unlike the krogan and Destroyer.

I hope they will somehow negate the shield decrease from HM. Whats the point of having Fortification if HM pretty much negates the damage reduction by lowering the shields?

Honestly I would be relieved if they gave it a power like flamer. The problem with the Engineer and Infiltrator is all their powers are really good, so you will have to sacrifice some fitness to max them out. But if the Soldier had flamer, I can just ignore it and focus on everything else.

Maybe. But I generelly find the flamer a lot more... umm, reliable? Relaxing? Something along those lines.
Also, it kills swarmers like a boss! :wizard:

Despite people whining about the Shaman before using him, turns out to be the biggest badass in the game. Geth Soldier is going to be a very powerful and durable kit. Even though I don't particularly like the Geth characters, I have a feeling that I'm gonna like the Soldier. Probably go full melee build and use the light melee as the primary means of smashing face.

I see this posted a lot and we DO know that his powers will be exactly the same thanks to being able to read the .ini file of the PC version which has all of the power data right there. The only unreleased character that has a special version of an existing power is the asari infiltrator, whose cloak has a power damage increase evolution. Everybody else has shared versions of powers that are exactly the same as those that came before them, right down to their racial passives and fitness.

I hated Rebellion for that: the QMI and the QME, the Phoenix Adept and Vanguard, the Vorchas... work almost the same.

.....The QMI and the QME work differently.....
QME is focused on tech explosions (in my build)
QMI is focused on spawn-killing (arc grenades spec for armor), boss-killing (tac-scan and tac cloak), and all around *$$-kicking.....with a harrier.

My disappointment with this build is no detonating power for fire explosions. That, to me, is an immediate flop.

We don't need more weapon-based characters, it just makes it like the destroyer only trading durability for a decent offensive power and agility.

It'll never drag me away from my vorcha builds made for relentless fire and tech explosions, which with bloodlust will be far superior to this new geth in durability.

Mine will be a walking tank with no powers but lots of fire power ... Oh wait without powers you're useless against bosses and mooks ..... Oh well still doing it
