Inon Zur 's music is really really great.
Dao Daa and Da2 music was excellent.
Especially the rushed DA2 which features some of the best music ever created for fantasy rpg. Not cheesy (Skyrim theme, sorry but really it is cheesy) and it really fit the mood.
So is Inon Zur coming back???

You're cheesy.

Anyways I'd like Zur to come back but I wouldn't be against something different.

DA soundtracks are great but for me they should bring Sam Hulick because his soundtracks in ME3 were just too awesome.

I don't actually dislike Inon Zur. IF they bring him back, I hope they don't rush him. Not that DA2's soundtrack was bad, but it could have used more variety, and that would have come with more time for composing.

I hope they at least have an original composition for credits. The last two choices they've made have been quite dissapointing.

If not then pick something like Heidevolk.

I actually dislike the majority of the music in DAO and DA2. Sure, Calenhad Docks and Fenris' theme were beautiful, sparkling gems, but the majority of both soundtracks was largely mediocre. Personally, I hope they get a different composer. Or at least get Zur to step up his game. He is particularly bad at combat tracks, which is a pity considering we seem to spend the majority of the game listenign to them.

I will agree that Skyrim's Main Theme ('Dragonborn'?) is cheesy as all hell, but the soundtrack overall is much better than both Dragon Age games. All three Mass Effect games have better soundtracks as well, but they are of a different style and so hardly comparable.

they are different genres. sci-fi should sound (and it is) way different than fantasy.
While i am more a scifi guy and i really like the synthtechno tracks better i think Inon nailed the mood in DA games.
You may be more of a synth sci-fi guy too.

I'm really not a big fan of Inon's work for Dragon Age. There are a few amazing tracks but that's it. The rest are average at best. Like someone said before the combat themes are boring. I really want a more melodic soundtrack with heightened emotion and drama.

So far I only liked the music in the camp in Origins. The rest of Zurs music was pretty bad.

Jesper Kyd should take over.
