Origins soundtrack was amazing.
Zur is a very talented composer and he gave color to the Dragon Age universe. Sure it wasn't "catchy", but really, we don't need pop songs to span 50+ hour games.
Moreso that "catchy" is the equivalent to "bad" in music, like it or not.
Composer?? We (at least I) want Inon Zur.

Clint Mansell's contribution to ME3 is completely generic and boring. I don't want the same thing to happen to DA3.
Lies! His work was fantastic!

It is just that i think Inon zur gave dragon age games a soul with his music.
supposedly any well known composer would do a great job.
But Inon's name is tied with Dragon age at least for me.
A collaboration with another composer would be great too.

I agree with David Anderson, who was born in London. I love that song.

Personally for video game music, Mark Morgan is my all time favorite. The ambient soundtracks in fallout 1/2 still blow me away years later. Doubt it would be good for a dragon age game though lol!
Boot up DA:O and go to Orzammar while Metallic Monks it playing in the background. I found it rather appropriate.

Yes surely there are tons of other soundtrack composers that are great. Hell , Bastilla's theme from Jeremy soule still haunts my mind. But one reason i got into Dragon age was the music.Suprez30 wrote...
Inon zur is great .. I love his stuff.. But many other game compsoer are great .. Like
Jack Wall
Knut Haugen
Jeremy Soule
Jason Haye
I know there're so many others!!!
The music is the soul of a game for me.
Tragic love from Inon in Lineage 2. This guy seriously catches the mood for medieval fantasy settings.
this is why i want him (not exclusively necesserily)
Closed fist has a special place in my heart also. I still remember when that song started for the last battle.. I had shiver down my spine. The music was so perfect for the atmosphere and situation.. I was all like
- OMG I NEED TO WIN THIS FIGHT!! EVERYTHING IS ON ME.. and when a composer archieve this kind of emotion in me .. They did something right. It's was the moment. DA:O is my favorite game of all time but not because of the music. Sadly.

Inon Zur is THE greatest video game composer in the history of video games! If they don't get him, then they may as well give up on DA3, IHMO!

I disagree, Orzammars music is supposed to display the majesty of the "only" remaining Dwarven city, that piece sounds more like a mid-apocalyptic theme for a large city with the pitched sounds and siren alarms.TheJediSaint wrote...

Personally, I think it would be a shame if that happened and it severed his relationship with Bioware and DA3, as I really like the soundtracks of both the previous games.

He did in fact say that it was a rush job in an interview with IGN. I would provide a link but it appears like the article was removed.Spedfrom wrote...
Why are people saying Inon Zur was rushed into doing DA2's soundtrack? Has he complained about such a situation? Is there a news article doing the rounds?
