Would an Archangel companion be a good idea?

I watched a bit of Legion and Supernatural this week, and figured it be good to see a "Angel of the Maker" or a winged spirit wielding a mace and using spirit powers to fight with you. It'd be an interesting relationship between protaganist and companion to have a guardian angel friendship. I know there are no angel type characters in DA except for spirits like Justice/vengeance. But that would be something good to see I think.

Angel is different than spirit you know...but i am not sure if there is any term of "Angel" in DA world, i only see Spirits and Demons

That is what i found odd...

Could be a hidden realm of Angels in waiting. I was just using Justice as an example as the closest thing to a "guardian angel" friendship. Plus spirits were the first children created by the Maker.

"It is said that a long time ago, the Maker created the Fade as His first world. His first children were the spirits of the Fade and the Maker believed He had made them in His own image".

Either the Maker isn't real, or he's Fen'Harel from the Dalish pantheon. How exactly would angels fit into this mythology?

Dragon Age's mythology and history already has enough mysteries without adding wishful thinking to it. So, no thank you.

There have been no mention of Angels in DA up to now. Also, an actual angel would tend to confirm the existence of the Maker. Bioware has been very careful to be quite ambiguous about his existence. They probably would like to continue so doing.

The particularity of the Maker's belief is that (like our own religions) there is no objective proof of his existence wich adds a lot to the mythos of the series, putting an angel would crush what a lot of the fans (including me) believe: that he is not real

True im with  Aulis Vaara on that angels aren't "in" any lore of the DA series the maker is along with the Different gods that either the Dalish humans or Dwarves believes in.
for example the Elderscroll series they believe in the 9 divines which each of them have their own altar and chapel for people to worship them those that follow.

Just like us with religion Morman Christian Judism etc honestly it would have to tie into Lore of the series if anything it could be a Dragon Guardian or a Golem Like Shale was in Da1 "originally a dwarf tho" but the point is it has to fit in and make logistical sense if you wanted something that made like no Sense with your choices and adding a "last minute npc" then play me3 which in reality upset and enraged the entire fanbase that me3 had "minus newbies"

no one wants to see DA destroyed as bad as ME3 had turned out which invold ea and BW to release the EC for campaign.

the one thing i would actually like to see in the DA series is Fully customizable armor allowing you to make it the way you want it to look whether its Jewels rare minarels like Drake skin or scales dragon bones or the hide along with your weapon and able to allow your followers to wear the same thing that you do but allowing you to make it fit their class Mage Rogue warrior etc and maybe add 2 or 3 new classes with new abilites not seen in DA1-2 or DAA "add on to DA1" and maybe a co-op system up to 4 players "equals your 3 npc party"

or something that Dragons Dogma did with the pawn system having a follower that you can personally customize and make them the class you want them to be and they always remain your level regardless of them being at home or something.

n maybe add a marriage/family option just what i think any way others be a good idea this one its a possibility since Skyrim and fable had done an amazing job with it and maybe Expand the Da series to the point where it has allot of quests and allows you to "free roam" and fight other characters npc n monsters and still have a higher level cap like 50 or 60 by then new dlc for you be able to be played without having to start "new game +" or start over.

how ever the DA series does need a Newgame + system that allows you to keep your gear and anything that you aquired during your previous playthrough example.

say you found Drake Scale armor or the best gear for your current class and have over 100+ gold + being level 20-25 ish you'd be the same level have everything that you did on your character and followers then the creatures you fight will be your level "except lesser enemies they'd be like half your level but still deadly in packs"

on top of bringing back the race System that they had in DA1 i was hurt when i couldn't play as he Dalish elves in DA2 i personally hated hawke tho i did like seeing Anders and the new followers again tho but the way they did the hawkes lineage they shouldn't of had it where you died half the time at a low level god that was annoying not to mention him having elemental resistance/powers i couldn't even do a mage because of that and i had to watch my "low health" 24/7 cause of his ability partly why i was hurt cause of it and the race system removal.

Angels aren't mentioned in the lore, spirits would be the closest analogy. But they could go crazy with the spirit of faith design if they wanted.

I believe the conclusion was reached via the Fen'Harel codex, which presents one with some parallels between the human Maker, and the Elven Tricking god. Posted Image

Could throw an interesting wrench into modern day Andrastian faith if something claiming to be an "angel" of the Maker showed up and then eventually ended up just being some evil demon trying to get a foothold outside the Fade. The Chant does make mention of "Heaven."

100+  you gained a new badass rank :P
agreed btw   i can't wait   to see that myself its actually   worth seeing Garrus  or one of the  other races/classes pop up in DA3  hehe    or atleast a  "refrence" and maybe a weapon/armor    to them  which has 1 item  for every character Released  including the  Kei Leng  :P

Kinda like what border lands 2  did with Dark souls and Minecraft.

Why would you want an angel companion based on Supernatural, of all things? The angels in that series are all giant dicks with wings.

"Two angels and three knights, all the same theme" is one of the best hands of Wicked Grace Isabela's ever seen, if you cheat at playing Wicked Grace with her in Origins. And two angels and two knights beat two songs and two serpents.

So angels do exist in Thedas, but apparently only as playing cards.

Good catch. I also saw angel motifs on the armour of one of the Orlesian chevaliers in MotA.
