Hello friends, I would like to hear your thoughts about the freedom in this game. With all these factions at war with each other do you think this might be the least linear dragon age of them all? If we are playing as the inquisitor his role might need him to investigate and i think with all these functions he will have the freedom to go where he wants.according to him. What do you guys think?
Question : Do you think this might be the installment with the most freedom?

No. choices are always going to be an illusion. There will never be any freedom, ever.

Going where you want to go does not equal non-linear.

I'm thinking that picking sides among the factions will be like it was in DAO and ME3 and that taking different approach to gameplay will be something like Mark of the Assassin or Deus Ex: Human Revolution or Dishonored or Guild Wars. And I figure GW2/MotA will be better previews given that the choice in those games is made prior to the quest and affects what quest approach you take (a stealth or combat one, for example) as opposed to Dishonored/DEHR which are such that you can switch your approach in the midst of a quest. Given what we saw in MotA, I figure they're more likely to go that direction. Now I can imagine it having way more choice and getting hyped up over it. But that seems premature and not worth doing without seeing more. But I do figure it'll at least be as involved as what I describe in the first sentence.

Unlikely. Bioware games seem to be getting slowly more rail-roaded as they go along. Although I'd say a lot of this is down to much shorter development times, and the rather ambitious project that was The Old Republic.
Hopefully when they inevitably promise us depth and choices they will make them matter this time around. Rather than simply changing a couple of lines of dialogue while all of the consequences remain the same no matter what you do.

I think since the have been looking to games like Skyrim I believe we will be allowed more freedom. Than again I have been proven wrong before.

I think it will be like Dragon Age Origin in that we will be giving missions to go places, but we get to choose what order to do them in.

The freedom should start at the beginning of the game. By giving us races and origins back. That would be a good start.
for the rest, we can only whait. Open world isn't sinonimous with more choise. and even if there are choise, there should be appropriate conseguence. (hope)
If in game I choose a faction, I hope to not have to fight against it (DA2, act 3 ?)

Given what we already saw from BioWare, it is highly probable the only choice you may be given is to choose your name...first one.

I accept that there will always be an illusion of freedom, even in a series like TES. You simply can't program a game (yet) with unrestricted reactivity.
That said, while DA2 faltered and took some missteps, I encourage and applaud Bioware for continued effort in breaking away from the Bioware Cliche Chart plot formula. The leaked survey sounds a lot like development I'd been hoping for prior to DA2/ME3, which is a game less focused on chasing the McGuffin and killing the Big Bad, and more about political intrigue, mystery, and personal stories. Similar to Alpha Protocol, and to a lesser degree DXHR.
