It seems natural to assume that the Supply Pylon would remain exclusive to the demolisher, but with all the new grenade classes coming out the possibility for a new support character becomes more evident. I am hoping that the need for the character to utilize his/her pylon to some degree could be satisfied with all-purpose frag grenades and a power, or cryo grenades and a fire power.

Frag grenade/supply pylon/tactical barrier? The ultimate camper, maybe something else.
Collector captains shouldn't be the only ones with tactical barriers.

Edit: No reason has officially been given to assume I am talking about current Retaliation characters.

Please, some threads are dominating the front page. They are moving way too fast.

Said it before, saying it again.

We need "Reverse" N7s.

Opposite gender, opposite "role" on the battlefield.
Cerberus Turret on a male N7 Engineer.
Portable cover generator or a deployable "field" ala the Asari Bubble on a female N7 Soldier.
Smoke Grenades and Recon Drones on a male N7 Infiltrator focused upon sniper rifles/distance damage rather than "Hurr I has a sword!" like the Shadow.

Etc.

I think it would be nice to see supply pylon on a new character. Or even something where the character themselves are the supply pylon in a way, so you don't have to relocate it constantly.

But I thought all the powers for all the new classes had already been leaked?

^to supplement the new grenade classes. No N7 required.

In future releases. I know about the abilities already announced.

I like the idea, not sure how likely it'll be implemented though. I feel like after this round of new characters (which are already set) we won't be seeing a big new dlc.

Mmm, maybe one day but I do hope they keep some of the N7 class powers exclusive to them. Like the supply pylon for the Demolisher.

I actually like these ideas.

Well all the classes for retaliation have been "leaked" and none of them had grenades unless I don't remember correctly.

I would like a new class with supply pylon though, its a cool ability.
Can they change abilities through live updates?(ie. balance changes) Because then they could give one of the new classes supply pylon.

Some powers should remain exclusive to N7? Supply Pylon is an amazing tactical tool, and anyways it would be a shame to limit such a useful power in a reaper war.

Reasons, or else I have more reasons to deploy such a vital power to frontline combatants.

Why has this not happened yet?  I will personally pay the cost of developing a character with this if that's what it takes!  Who needs school and food anyway when I CAN HAS TURRET! :D

Sure, Supply Pylon should come out on a new class...but at the same time, I'm still waiting for the N7s to get "finished out" so we have some DLC humans for both genders who are actually unique and interesting.

It's sheer lunacy that the pack was released with single gender characters rather than a 1:1 ratio for each class. The Quarians are a great example of the idea that "Just because it's the same race does not mean they have to be the exact same character".

First paragraph: you mean the earth class' abilitis were already either present or very foreseeable?

Read the whole thing, not just the part about Supply Pylon.

It's stupid that if I want to play a non-standard Human Infiltrator/Adept/Engineer--I have to play a woman.
It's stupid that if a woman wanted to do the same for the Soldier, Sentinel, or Vanguard--she'd have to play a man.

It's not a question of "I question my gender identity!"--it's just as simple as I dislike being pigeonholed into playing a trope because they wanted to do a gender based archetype.

Although I originally thought the Demolisher would be a very supportive class, it actually turned out to be quite selfish. Like "Hey, screw off, those are MY grenades, I NEED them, they're ALL I HAVE"

It is possible that I have no questions regarding your second paragraph and simply wish to ensure I understand every aspect of your post.

Yeah, that is why I wanted to limit the need for grenades on a future character without making the pylon obsolete in solo runs :)
