Said it before, saying it again.

We need "Reverse" N7s.

Opposite gender, opposite "role" on the battlefield.
Cerberus Turret on a male N7 Engineer.
Portable cover generator or a deployable "field" ala the Asari Bubble on a female N7 Soldier.
Smoke Grenades and Recon Drones on a male N7 Infiltrator focused upon sniper rifles/distance damage rather than "Hurr I has a sword!" like the Shadow.

Etc.

that
been thinking about smoke grenades for a while
easy for BW to add them on a playable char. (?)
plus 4 player smoke spamming will be the best revenge.

With the new thermal scopes, why not? Sounds like it will be easier to balance than most other aspects of the game.

What powers would go well with a new pylon character? I want opinions.

Does a turret possessing biotic attributes sound practical to you?

We already heard from the Devs that it was impossible for them to add an "enemy visibility limit" for the sandstorm on Dagger.  Seems likely that the smoke grenades would be the same way.  Also, have you ever not been shot to crap by invisible smoke ninjas?  All cerberus characters must have thermal goggles.

Now that I am done being negative....I think smoke grenades with recon mines or the new recon drone mentioned would be awesome.

Actually, having the Cerberus turret is an excellent idea. They would have to tone it down a little, though. Or limit the range.

And the cooldown would probably make it so that you can't re-locate it with the versatility of the quarian and geth turrets. But still, that could totally compensate for its power. You have to consider where you put it very carefully, or else it won't work.

Also, give him an Alliance insignia!

That's true, they did say that it's impossible since the AI effectively "cheats".
Flashbangs or a "decoy" grenade.

Also new Assault Rifle mod:
Underslung Grenade Launcher. Adds 50% weight, allows for you to "fire" standard frag grenades or smoke grenades from your AR. Uses grenade capacity.

Better yet, a supply drone, one that follows you around albeit giving you less stuff and the ability to allow the team to see the enemies like the recon mine does.

Supply Drone or Pylon is a shoe-in for a Salarian Sentinel.

Drone version definitely more applicable to salarian STG as the drone supplies both ammo and enemy location (you know, like that Geth hunter vision, tac-scan, or recon mine thing?)
But....salarian sentinel? Never seen a salarian use biotics...more like, a revamped engineer we need.

You're aware that we will now have 3 Sentinel classes which negate that whole "Tech and Biotic" trope, yeah?

Volus Sentinel, Asari Sentinel, and the N7 Paladin.

We're also going to have a Biotic Infiltrator coming relatively soon...so there's definitely room for a Salarian Sentinel with all tech powers. ;)

Oh yeah.....those.
Then I want this salarian to have recon mine as well. With supply drone. And we need a generic power....let's go with something that boosts durability. There's fortification, tech armor....etc.....

A nice little spider pylon that follows you around giving you nothing but ammo, grenades, and a slight shield boost.; of course, to a lesser degree than the regular supply Pylon, but it follows you. I don't think it should attack the enemy at all though. It's just a shield boosting/weapon supplying little friend. I'd like to see a Krogan use one, but they'd probably make something that kills things.

Shut up and take my money already!

Lol 4 N7 engineer just place 4 turrets somewhere then hide somewhere letting the OP cerberus turrets kill everything in seconds.I can see camping to the max. Following week turrets get nerfed to the ground.

I thought about that potential.

Simplest answer is to make it so that the turret functions similar to Tech Armor and the Supply Pylon both:
The cooldown doesn't start until the turret is actually destroyed, and it requires a lengthy unpack animation for it to get set up with some evolutions for things like the turret being able to unpack faster or act like the Geth Turret or Supply Pylon with an "aura" that regenerates shields for nearby players.
For that matter, it should be one of the first turrets where we actually have to "interact" with it by repairing it (the animation is actually already in, watch the Cerberus Engineer when they crouch down and open up that diagnostic screen next to a damaged Cerberus Turret or Atlas).

I've got some ideas in mind for that particular character, notably having static defensive measures(Shield Pylons--yes, more than one. Probably two or so maximum, generating either a small tick like the Geth Turret more often or having the potential for a "bubble"-- and Cerberus Turret both with the N7 "Bulwark" Training giving you the option of faster repair and deployment speeds or beefier deployables) as his primary abilities along with either Sabotage or a unique "Equipment Diagnostic" ability which could be used to boost shields or grant a layer of armor to nearby players for a short time and also to repair the turret/pylons.

A Hanar that floats around in a protective bubble crapping out thermal clips and random grenades.
