I feel that a change that makes everyone more intelligent, less aggresive, less discriminatory and other things implied in synthesis, I would call it a positive change, and everyone wants a future where everyone isn't an **** right... RIGHT... oh wait. This is BSN.

You don't know that it will be less discriminatory, though. What happens, 50,000 years from now when the next group of life springs forth and so happens to be only organic?

It can't be pure organic. The effects of Synthesis is permanent because all life in the entire galaxy is affected by the Crucible, down to microbes, single-celled life and DNA itself.

Yeah, being constantly retconned and poorly-written is never fun.

Honestly the biggest problem is Legion and how he represents the Geth in ME2. He makes them look as total paragons who were mistreated but secretly love everyone. They also seem to think that means are more important than the end. The 'heretics' were also a weird retcon. Seeing that they were supposed only 3% of the Geth, it'd make the rest look like they had an army bigger than the whole Council space combined ( So much for peaceful race).

Anyway, what I mean is that ME2's approach doesn't work with neither ME1 and ME3. The Geth in ME3 are way more believable, if not very much likeable. The Geth VI represents the race better than Legion.

Let's pretend that doctors invent a pill that makes people stop being violent or racist or whatever.  This pill also has the added benefit of making people smarter, healthier, and happier.  Now, would it be okay for the government to force everyone to take this pill?  Would it be okay if they sent soldiers out in the middle of the night to sneak into your room and place a tablet under your tongue while you slept?

"These are just a few of the images we've recorded, and as you can see... it isn't what we thought. There's been no war here, and no terraforming event - the environment is stable. It's the Pax. The G-23 Paxilon hydrochlorate that we added to the air processors. It was supposed to calm the population, weed out aggression... well, it works. The people here stopped fighting. Then they stopped everything else. They stopped going to work. They stopped breeding, talking, eating. There's thirty million people here, and they all just let themselves die.

*crash*

"I have to be quick! About a tenth of a percent of the population had the opposite reaction. Their aggressor response increased, beyond madness. They've become... well, they've killed most of us. I won't live to report this, but people need to know. We meant it for the best - to make people safer. Oh God! NO!!!"

I love Serenity. That's how you do a conclusion, Bioware.

Yeah, right. Except for such future you basically change everything they are. You agree that your own essence is flawed and needs to be altered. You agree with an AI that is responsible for casualties in the billions, such beign has no right to judge anybody, including us organics. You let yourself be killed and Reapers be alive despite all the evil they represent.

I'm a human beign and I'd never, ever want anyone to alter my essence and the way of thinking. The fact that after that I would not care anymore, doesn't f*cking change anything.

There, there, little Primitive. That just means you're not ready for Synthesis.

You consider human beings primitive? Nothing to say there

.I just can't stand the ideology of 'You are flawed, you won't get along with others, you have to mutate yourself!'

I also don't understand how Bioware could promote strenght through overcoming differences throughout the game. Show that Aliens are like us: Jerks and Saints and then make an ending that completely negates that. bah, it's also their favourite, wtf.

Btw this thread is about Geth.

But you are. This is self-evident. Human history is one of endless strife and bloodshed, no matter how advanced we've become in terms of pure technology, and likely how advanced we ever will, unless we change ourselves.

And our advancement comes only from bloodshed? You are forgetting all the good people have always been capable of. It's easier to remember evil than good, but you can't deny they are nice people out there trying to change the world for the better and they succeed to some extent.

People can be capable of good, but they've never been able to end evil to any significant extent.

The fact that we've never been able to changes nothing. We deserve the chance to overcome our differences & problems at our own. We have to believe that we are capable of that or we'll just get depressed and die out.

I will repeat: Catalyst does not deserve to judge us and force his vision onto us. There's no such thing as 'final evolution'. Bioware shouldn't touch this idea, at all.

. But why wouldn't you force reaper technology on everybody, after all it can't be forced??!?!?!?!?  Or better yet let's keep the reapers around as police
