I think as long as your scoreboard shows a gold melee medal, you are good.

basically solo bronze  wave 1,2, not do object on wave 3 and just go on a melee spree until the time run out

This. Surely even with a 4 Krogan team, there are always more than 20 mooks on the field per wave (perhaps not wave 1 or 2 in bronze, but that is made up for in later waves). I know the times I do play as my KroSent, 9 times out of 10 I used to get the old 15 melee kill medal by the end of wave 3, if not earlier - that was always in 3-4 player groups.

Basically, all you whinging and whining about how this challenge promotes solo'ing, take a step back and think about things - Gold (and Platinum for the l33ts) runs at this, all 4 (if all Krogans) could get this done mid to late waves.

I think you should edit your blog post regarding this Op. It still says:

Squad Goal: Earn one gold melee-medal fighting as a krogan on any map at any difficulty.
Squad Goal Success: All squad members awarded a Commendation Pack.

A lot of players will think they will get the commendation pack if one of their team-mate achived the goal.

Well...

I appreciatte the weekend operations, and sure why not spice it up with krogan melees, wich are quite fun with lots of laughter and blood going on.
Yet i cant help to think that on a regular 4 man match, lets say silver level, its highly unlikely that even 1 of the players manages to get 50 melee kills medal.

Melee kind of characters i think are one of the most difficult ones to master, since you not only need to know the basic regarding cover usage and target prioritizing, you also need to have good knowledge on when its safe to attempt a melee attack on certain enemies, specially the ones that have stagger and insta killing abilities.

Overall i'll be attempting the operation with some friends, but i can forsee a lot of rage going on (and not krogan rage) from players trying to melee stuff while others get the kill with gun shots or powers

Bottom line...
This operation promotes solo gameplay given the recently changed ammount of kills needed to get the gold medal by melee kills.

Thanks for this!  One more question though: does a biotic charge kill count as a melee kill?  50 melee kills for a medal is just ridiculously high.  You pretty much have to solo to succed...

Are most pelple planning to do bronze or silver solo?  Id hate to not get enough kills in bronze and have to start over but silver would be harder.  Is everyone going aginst geth?  What map?

Biotic charge isn't melee or my Asari Vanguard would be getting Melee medals

Being a fairly casual player currently focusing on maxing commons/uncommons, I don't actually have a Krogan unlocked yet. This challenge is pretty disappointing for me, and undoubtedly other newer players as well. At least there will be another op next week...

I've never done a solo but I just took my kroguard against reapers on bronze, got to wave 6 before accidentally charging a brute but did get the gold melee so yeah no biggy

There is a countdown timer at the top of the page that will tell you when the operation starts. So in about 13 hours you can start cracking skulls with your favorite Krogan.

Why soes everyone wants to complete the op by going solo? when you play as the Krogan Battlemaster the melee gold medal pretty much comes included

I already miss the old Ops, I never felt excluded from them.

Delete all current dlc to get it faster
