I have a krogan, but I don't see a Gold Melee Medal in the list, just tier 1,2 & 3 Melee Use under Combat Mastery - am I missing something?

Soldier can get the highest melee damage, but you have to keep purging fortification to keep it up.

Sentinel is second highest, and can keep it there permanently with tech armor on, which also gives a huge 50% damage reduction.  Sentinel is my choice

It means the medals that you see at the end of each game.  It's the medal for 50 melee kills in one game

Biotic Charge is not a melee kill, sorry. Only the headbut and the Krogan Charge (heavy melee).

True (I think), but with one interesting exception...

Kills as a result of a biotic charge DO count as melee kills for purposes of activating rage.

Kinda sucks, but good thing it's a shorter event than usual.

In preparation for the bloodletting to come, I have solo'ed silver with a Krogard as a warmup, sans equipment or gear because A: that would unsporting, and B: I am sleepy and I forgot. Next, I shall sacrifice a chicken...

Yea, the Sentinel is my favorite Krogan in the game.  He is usually the one I play with.  Just finally got the soldier built how I like him so have been playing him more (especially since you have to do 200 waves a character for the Bloodpack Mastery).  Sentinal is built for all defence, power damage for lift gernades, and hard hitting weapons.  Really enjoy them both on gold.  Kroguard is amazing but don't want the charge radius taking out too many mooks for me to head butt

Just had a few practice match with Krogan Sentinel on Silver against Cerberus. What I did is create a public game and start solo. For the most of the matches, new players joined in at wave 2 or 3, Still managed to get 50 melee and 75 kills medals.

That's a negative.  It's an individual goal only.

Bummed myself because I also have no krogan.

When does this event start? I just did all the requirements and got nothing so I assume its later. No time is listed in the initial post.

The time is listed at the top of this web page, they've been doing it that way for the past few operations now.

So.. If I'm understanding this correctly.. Instead of making Victory Packs better, they've just done away with them - and the Community Goal all together?

Also - wording's a bit ambiguous. Bit of clarification on whether or not we need to extract would be appreciated. =)
