Just did it, in first match, on silver, with Collectors. It's pretty easy, even with 50 melee to make it. Commendation pack awarded, got it from the store, works pretty well. Idea that awards are given immediately is brilliant.

BTW: it's called multiplayer for a reason, so in the future... more... squad goals please? Back to the formula proven to be working...

Finished on Dagger against the Collectors with the Shaman (great character, btw). To the Asari Adept who showed up on Wave 4 to help finish to extraction, thanks. I owe you one.

Hmmm, was looking forward to the next challenge but I dont have a krogan, will try to unlock but I haven't been unlocking nothing recently

I soloed with my kroguard on Thessia; received my pack instantly.

After that I started a public Gold / Unknown / Unknown match - that was my best time ever with a kroguard. Firebase Giant Hazard version vs. geth.I soloed at the first wave, somebody joined at second wave, and two other folks joined at wave 3rd. I ended up at more than 200.000 points and approx. 10 medals.

Oh boys Gold Geths are f.... hard now. And this stunfest... grrrr.

Did you get the actual challenge notification in your Challenges menu? Mine is not checked off. 

I fear that doing it on a hazard map may cause some sort of problem. Trying again on Goddess now. *sigh*

Okay, no. Weekend Challenge still registers nothing. 0/1, even after logging back in. What the hell? I just got the medal twice with my kroguard!  

I only went to complete the challenge because I saw the counter already said we had 65 hours remaining, i.e. it had started already. It's still not ticked off in either the Squad Elite (0%) or Weekend Challenge menus.

Wow...so the packs are supposed to drop immediately? Just soloed with a krosent and completed the challenge during wave 4--went on to extract anyway. It's showing as completed...but no pack.

Guess I'll give it a little time. If it doesn't show, I suppose it will be time for my first call to customer support...

After a week of working towards my "Biotic God" banner, I could really go for a weekend of Krogan Bash & Smash!

Just finished. Did 3 waves solo on Bronze (Hydra/Cerberus) and got 60+ melee kills. Wave 3 was the delivery objective - I picked up the package, left it just outside the drop-off zone, then used the remaining time on the timer to melee away at the endless spawns. Delivered the package at about the 10 second mark each time.

Easy peasy. Suicided on wave 4, got the medal and pack. Easiest, fastest weekend challange ever!

Extraction is not required. Just get your gold melee medal. You can suicide if you choose once you have achived the 50 melee kills.

quick question, do you need a full extraction or is getting the medal enough? (sorry post is to many pages). Also, I just got a gold melee and it seemed to say something 1/3 challenges? Went away too quickly for me to see. Do we have to do the melee challenge 3 times or does it mean 1 out of 3 weekend challenges??

Odd. I just completed the Challenge again with my KroSent on Tuchanka, and had no problem this time. Finally got the Crusader... let's hope next time it's finally the Valiant. Maybe then I'll start sniping again.

Challenges are individual.  Your medal, your accomplishment.

So that explains why I have two empty spots on my recent challenge completions, which must be the medals which I saw in game, while my friend, where I just played a duo Bronze game with, watching my back as I was swatting Cerberus troops left and right, is not seeing that in his N7 HQ.

My friend, who is so new to the game he has no Krogan yet, but who is getting enthusiastic about it, will not be able to achieve this goal UNLESS he happens to get a Krogan, but with the random store system, that seems unlikely to happen. Yet according to the description of the operation, this was a squad goal and we both believed he would be unlocking the achievement at the same time that I did. Now it turns out it was yet again a badly worded objective..

Okay, I am sorry, but WHY does this happen each and every operation? Why don't you learn from having to explain the objectives each and every time? How is this even a SQUAD goal? This is an individual goal, there is no squad goal, nor is there a community goal. The first Operation with the new system, now tracking even more stuff, could have been awesome, but already I feel disappointed, despite knowing I'll be getting a pack.

Please Bioware.. Clarify the operation in the OP or better yet, CHANGE THE PARAMETERS! This is unfair to anyone who does not have a Krogan yet and who misunderstood your imprecise objective. Moreover, please, for the next operation, have someone look carefully at the operation paramaters and translate them in such a way that they need no clarification.

I've completed the challenge twice (got to Wave 10 solo on second attempt) Those phantoms dang it! lol

Hopefully my Commendation Pack will drop soon.
