You will only need about 4 waves of Bronze if you melee everyone, 6 waves max.if you consitently try - should be doable for most players. For those who never used melee before it's a good reason to get into it.

To those who don't have a Krogan: I understand your anger, there should have been an alternative, like doing the same with a human character. It would have been much harder but at least doable.

Okay, NOOB here, this is my first weekend Challenge. So I have to melee my way through?

Because I cleared 5 waves, with bullets, and went down on the 6th and no pop-up, nothing.

Got mine on the first try. Nice having the rewards pop into the store so quickly, bummer the commendation pack was so empty. A shotgun, some ammo and some medigel? I was hoping for a rare character or something.

yep.. easiest done on Bronze with a Krogan Sentinal if you have one.
and try to slam down all the things you see moving and you should get it done by round 4, maybe 3 if you max out the points on round 3 .....that only tends to happen when we have the pick up and carrry objectives.

50 melee kills - fail match by killing yourself (if solo) - and you bagged the challenge

I soloed during the first hour since it started, extracted, got the banner popup, it's marked off in in-game challenge menu for Weekend Challenges (1/3 of course) along with corresponding progress for N7 Weekend Challenges I, II and III. No pack. Restarted ME3 several times since then over time, still no pack. So, I suppose I'll have to wait longer (might be quicker though if I just do it again). Oh well.

I soloed on bronze and got it in my 2nd attempt. Got the comm pack really soon after that.

You will need to kill 50 enemies using a melee attack (ie. melee, heavy melee, grab).
If you manage to do that, you will receive your reward. It doesn't
matter how many enemies you kill using weapons, biotics, or tech skills
as long as you reach 50 melee kills.

It's not necessary to extract either, so if you get killed right after achieving 50 melee kills, you should be fine. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/wink.png[/smilie]

xD ya...i just dont get people who complain about the easy things lol...now the glitchyness of it not giving the pack straight off thats a pain but atleast they are aware of the issue and are correcting it...so thats great to know. lol
Now if i can score a comendation pack containing nothing but 4 promo weapons id be rolfing

Man, this was fun!

Did it as the Krogan Battlemaster, spec'd for melee damage. Bronze, Geth, Glacier, solo, just smashing Geth all over the place.

Got my Commendation Pack immediately after, no glitches or quibbles. Except it was another N7 Eagle, for the fifth time, ha! Oh well, could be worse

Did it during a Silver match with three others. I didn't get a splash screen though. Maybe it's a PS3 thing. Anyone else get a splash?

Edit: Also, it shows up as a Gold Challenge in the Challenge list. It even allowed me to "set title", but it didn't change anything. Anyone got any info on this? Was it mentioned earlier?

In a forum this large you will find some donkeys complaining about anything. The same person would rant about the original ending being bad, then the EC ending is even worse - still they stay - just to buy Leviathan to tell the whole community how bad that was. The same person will now wait for a free multiplayer DLC to complain how their favourite character, enemy, map wish wasn't fulfilled and what has to be buffed/nerved... and the next thing they do, is buy the weapons pack... guess why?

Done. Solo on Firebase White vs. Cerberus. Bronze difficulty with Krogan Vangaurd withshield booster II gear, and the Omniblade attachment on the Reager Carbine. Made it to level 10 before a sword woman got me.
I had tried 3 times before with others on the team but couldn't get to 50 melee.

How can you solo this on a non Tuchanka base FOR TUCHANKA!

I did the challenge with the Krogan Battlemaster on Bronze/Geth/White.

I chose that particular map because someone wrote in the forum that White was a good place for grabs, but apparently I suck at doing those because I only managed 3 before I gave up and reverted to the old "running around hitting things" strategy. Meleeing Primes to death was fun!

And after getting my melee gold medal, I was actually having so much fun that I just kept going and in the end I bagged my first ever solo bronze extraction! I managed to do it thanks to having seen a lot of helpful tips and strategies here and on youtube, I might add, so thanks to you all for that.

Never thought I'd solo anything so I'm feeling pretty good right now. v()v

Oh, and I got a Hurricane II.

I'm a fool for doing this challenge right when it became available just as I was a fool for buy packs right after the DLC came out. I should have guessed that the dam thing would be glitched. 4 hours no pack....

I got a Hurricane 3 and really wanted a Crusader upgrade :{
I just think for a Krogan mission you gotta do Tuchanka (Giant) Well, it's actually my fav one anyways Hopefully next challenges will get me better crusaders..
