kroguard just ot have a quick recharge of barriers, and on bronze. This one should be easy, and I do need melee damage for my combat mastery banner

Hey Bioware after reading this, I have a quick question; Now that there are smaller Ops' every weekend when and how often will we see the bigger Weekend Ops' from before? Also will they only have generic wallpapers like the one in the OP or their own wallpapers like these?:

If you read it, it doesn't say anything about making 50 melee kills to get this medal all it says is play with the Krogan character. So i don't understand why you guys are mentioning you have to get 50 melee kills. So Im thinking just do melee kills in general you get the gold medal as the prize.

If you haven't noticed, they upped the amount of melee kills needed to recieve the in-game medals related to melee kills. You now need 50 in order to recieve the gold one.

Exactly. With so many new Kits, the original ones should receive a "downgrade" to silver, to make it easier to get.
It´s ridiculous to have almost all of the recent ones, but no Krogan!

I wonder if they will increase krogan drop rate. I know folks that don't have any krogan. That makes this challenge impossible unless he gets one before the challenge ends.

I on the other hand will run a Kroguard on gold solo. I still need to complete melee 3 for combat mastery so this challenge is perfect for me.

Just trying to translate what they are trying to explain to us. This is a very vague description. I under stand you need 50 melee kills to gett the gold. It would of been alot easier to understand if they said Play as the Krogan and get 50 melee kills to get t the Gold challenge medal. Thas all Im saying.

Come on ladies, I play krogan all the time and regularly get my 50 melee kills medal.

Sounds like you all need to grow a quad!

Gotcha.  The confusion is that a medal is something you earn within a single game (like 5 headshots, 1 or 2 or 3 grabs, 25 kills with an assault rifle, etc.) while a challenge is what's counting up all your stats.

Not sure if when you finish a challenge it's called a medal.  If it is, then no wonder confusion abounds!

This challenge is fine by me. I'm not gonna complain if it's easy. Free pack! I'm sure there will be others that will be hard as well. I take what challenges I can get.

I agree with that, too, but that's a whole other issue, lol. I actually think all the originals, plus a few of the DLC character should go to Silver. I have a friend that just got the game last month and he will NEVER catch up

I'm still confused by this description. If I'm playing solo and get the medal to complete the challenge, can I just die after that? Or do I have to extract for it to count

Maybe, but how often do you see a squad of four Krogans all getting 50 melee kills in the same match? That's the co-op breaking element to the challenge. If everyone plays as a Krogan and runs around trying to steal everyone else's kills, it makes it a bit more difficult for anyone to get 50 melee kills.

Well, the operation post says all the squad members get a commendation pack, but that is a lie (or horribly worded if you prefer). Earlier in this thread Derek bluntly stated: your goal, your reward...or something like that. Anyway, this is an individual challenge. You only get a commendation pack if YOU get the gold melee medal using a Krogan. So, solo it or find a buddy and take turns helping each other.

lolwut.  Let me splain it to you.  

1. Play as a krogan on any difficutly (this mean you)
2. Get 50 melee kills (if you dont, you wont get the comendation pack)
3. ???
4. Profit

Soloing bronze or silver with either Krogan Sentinel or Kroguard is probably the easiest way to get this.
