It was stupid. By the time the Illusive Man calls Liara out on how bad she is at being the Shadow Broker all I could do was nod and think how much better it would have been to have the damn yahg Broker as my ally instead.

This. The damn Yahg SB had even miniscule details on the day to day passings of TIM. Right on down to what suit he was wearing (which, by the by, was mentioned could stop small arms fire, guess he switched it out for one that didn't protect him from that in ME3) and the number of cigarettes he smoked. Liara is a terrible broker.

YES.

I hate the Alliance SR2 - its awful sh!tty grimdark lighting, its erratic structure thanks to the mess left by the refitting crew and all the rooms they've blocked for no reason, and its stupid non-combat crew crew that literally has no personality (and before you bring her up, I despise how much of a Mary-Sue Traynor is).

Traynor > AI and Shadow Broker at figuring out what's happening in the galaxy.

It was stupid. By the time the Illusive Man calls Liara out on how bad she is at being the Shadow Broker all I could do was nod and think how much better it would have been to have the damn yahg Broker as my ally instead.

I mean EDI took over EVA's body thus stopping Cerberus from getting the Martian archieves data and yet still the Illusive Man is able to use the Martian Archieves data he never got to know about the prothean beacon on Thessia!

That's how a real information broker gets **** done!

...this game's a mess.

The problem with Traynor is that in the earlier leaked scripts where she didn't even exist, it WAS Liara (and sometimes EDI) who did everything she did. Liara would have actually come across as a competent Shadow Broker, using her network to root out Cerberus and ultimately track them down to Sanctuary/Cronos.

This is why I hate Traynor. She has no reason to exist beyond a pure lesbian romance option, she has no depth whatsoever, and because the writers had to give this character something to do they completely robbed another character of her narrative purpose.

I don't.

The Normandy in ME3 lets me shop online and I never really cared about the ship crew.

If anything, Kelly was annoying and Gardner was far too underdeveloped.

But we achieved nothing through ME2. As we know now: Collectors still alive, Harbinger still trolling. We done nothing in ME2, only loyalty-missions.

To be honest I'm probably one of the few that liked the Alliance Normandy a lot better. The only change I would have made was make the Meeting room and Comm room in the old armory spot and keep Mordin's tech lab. Everything else was better.

When I think of the ME2 crew, the squad comes to mind. I didn't really think about the other people that much. I just wish Grunt, Jack, Thane, Kasumi, Zaeed, Samara, and Miranda could have spent some time on the ship like Mordin, Wrex and Legion did.

So as far as the human crew goes. No didn't really miss them. I only missed Gardner because he was underdeveloped and I wanted to see what they'd do with him and I guess I missed Kelly a little bit but I liked Traynor better than her so I didn't really mind her gone.

I don't, I hated the Cerberus SR2. Only five squadmate I liked, only a few crew members i enjoyed talking to, way too bright, pretty boring and just had a sense of loneliness.

Alliance SR2 and the first Normandy ftw.

Just got through with another playthrough of ME2 and ME3.,  Does anyone else miss the Cerberus SR2?  And especially its' crew?   I know I do.  Forget that the Alliance seems to have a thing for dark interiors and a lack of research space,  the crew... I really miss them.  Kelly comes back in a minor way, but what of Hawthorne or  Mess Sergeant Gardner?  Am I the only one that wonders what happens to them?

if you saved everyone in me2, you basically have the same crew. Not sure who you are referring to? Traynor?

Yeah.  The old crew really got pushed aside.  The hackneyed communicator on Earth was not at all what should have been realized between the old crew and the new crew.  They deserved more than an aside during the final mission :(
Just wish they were more integral to the story than what was eventually put into the story.

I'm talking about the service crew aboard the C. SR2, not just hte Team Members.  From the few bits of info detailed in ME3, it sounds like the old Cerberus crew was courtmartialed after the Normandy was impounded.  With the exception of Ken and Gabby.

I don't. It was too bright for my taste, also the ship interior didn't look like a warship.
I prefer Alliance visual.

Yeah, I'm hating how that's going down, since I really didn't want to work for Cerberus in the first place, not after playing through ME 1.  It's a chapter I'd assume put behind me, but this is BSN, and the grass is always greener on the other side.  I have to wonder how many threads there were condemning the ME 2 crew at ME 2's release, it might be a funny comparison.

Good question.  Though I'm not condemning the Alliance SR2 crew, just waxing nostalgic for the C. SR2 crew.  And wishing they and the C. SR2 team had played a bigger part in the story.  (Or at least that we knew what became of the old C. SR2 crew besides Ken and Gabby.)  (Not that I'm knocking K&G.  Was more than happy to see them returned!)

The only thing the Alliance SR2 needed to be perfect was the Normandy music from the first game.

Oh Gardner, he could have jumped into the epic Garrus Vs Vega dialogue.

It would have become legend.

and we could have continued its legend by purchasing DLC

This needs to be modded pronto.

This.  Also, if you romanced a ME2 squadmate (not counting Garrus and Tali), they should be able to be on the ship as well, even if they weren't playable.

Then that should have also happen for Liara,Ash and Kaidan then for Mass Effect 2.

I agree to all this.

We built up a great team and they never figured out a way to import those team mates successfully.

No, even with the boxes and wires everybody I think the Alliance SR-2 is head and shoulders above the Cerberus paint job. Just feels more like a military vessel, and in particular like a submarine (which is the closest analogy to what the Normandy is).

Yeah, I get the aesthetic they were goin for.  But, I have to ask, why?  Why not have a well-lit and well-laid-out ship rather than a grimdark version?

Heh.  Think I just answered my own question.  It was just a part of laying out the aesthetic for the game.  Still, I miss the old white, gold, and black colors.

Yes I do miss all the extra Steve Blum crew members from ME2, you can never have enough Wolverine.
