ok all this information is awesome...but what if im playing a rogue and dont want any of the archery skills....what would u recommend then?
How can i make a single hit of 250 points?

You HAVE to go that route I think. A berserker Warrior with the final berserker ability and at about level... 18? or an archer spec warrior/rogue with arrow of slaying and level... 12-14? OR the manaclash thing with a high level mage.
Not every spec can do it. My sword and shield warrior has no chance of it. He might even do more dps than those specs (prolly not, he's a tank after all) BUT he can't burst damage that high.
To get that achievement, you have to make the appropriate character. HENCE my suggestion of using the exp glitch. I, however, wanted a rogue archer character and lucked out when I was working on the Rogue 20 achievement.
