Dr. Eva Core is impossible to kill if you have it, just letting you know.
Do not use the acolyte on the mars mission!

Do you mean that cutscene where she's charging you after she beat the VS's face in, or when you're chasing her?

Yes the part where she is charging at Shepard, instead of being switched to the predator pistol you'll have to charge the acolyte to kill her, and you won't have enough time.

I'll remember that, thanks.

All the gun except Predator does that. No idea why they did not fix it

yeah true, i made a post about that almost year ago and it's still not fixed.
another thing, as you start a New Game with ME3 character you can change weapons loadout on a nearest sniper rifle drop point. I gave Vega a Saber, however in Liara's cutscene you can see M8 Avenger (part of it) inside Saber model.

Paladin at level V was able to do it. Carnifex at level V was able to do it. Both of them barely, they do take a long time to recover between shots.
But the Acolyte, with its mandatory charge up time? Yeah, I can see why that wouldn't work.

Yes don't use that Pistol and don't use the Executioner Pistol either since its a one shot handcannon but it reloads way to slowly during the charge cutscene. So if you have it just use the Eagle since its full auto and kills her in no time.

THat's hilarious. I've never had that issue...always brought the Paladin, or no pistol at all so it'd give me the Predator...but wow.

afaik, any of the "standard" pistols should work (that is, the Predator, Phalanx, Eagle, Carnifex, Talon, and Paladin), although the slow-firing ones will have to deplete her health completely, instead of simply landing the requisite number of shots. This is doable, but leaves absolutely no margin for error. It took me 6 tries with the Paladin, and I had no more than a quarter second or so left on the time I did win.
The Scorpion and Acolyte won't work, and I have no idea if the Arc Pistol will.

Executioner - slow reload after 1 shot
Acolyte - mandatory 1 second charge between shots
Scorpion - direct hits have explosions on a timer
Guaranteed to not work no matter what level they are. The others should do fine. I hardly ever use pistols anymore, so I automatically just get the Predator for this cutscene.

You do realize you can switch weapons right? If I have a slow firing pistol (the Acolyte in this case), I just switch to an smg like the Hurricane and she gets cut down in no time.

What about now? They removed the charge on the acolyte.

MP gun changes don't transfer over to SP.

I heard a rumour that ammo powers on classes that don't normally have them tend to be a bit glitchy here too.

Simply recertifiying that this is a bug and it's so goddamned annoying that you get caught in an insta-lose loop and the only way out of it is to manually reload an old save (assuming you have one, which I didn't). Thanks Bioware, I just lost over an hour of gameplay thanks to your insta-lose bug. Epic fail and why the flying **** isn't this fixed yet? If that's not a show stopper bug, nothing is.
Pro tip: Fewer unneccesary appearancce packs, more bug fixes. Thanks.
*Edit: Forgive the abusiveness of this rant, but it's hard to have any reaction except inarticulate rage when junk like this happens.
