As my title states I'm going to do a full playthrough. I haven't played the game in quite a few years, but wanted to play a SCS2 modded game. What is the general consensus on BGTutu vs BGTrilogy? Also, what other mods do you recommend, **and what install order**? I was thinking bg2 unfinished business, ascencion, potentially bg2 items, and potentially ease of use.
Please keep in mind ease of installation for the mods, as I'm a noob and seem to mess them up a lot.
Thanks in advance!

Consensus? Bahahaha!
OK first off, there are 3 options, BG Trilogy, BG Tutu, and EasyTutu. I haven't compared them for years, but here are my personal biases without any grounding in fact.
BG Tutu is really only if you want a language other than english.
BGT merges BG1 & BG2 into one mega game. This raises the problem that scribing a scroll or picking a lock at level 1 will give you enough XP to gain a level or two. I can't imagine they haven't found some way of addressing this, but a couple of years ago it was enough to put me off without trying it.
Playing EasyTutu is pretty cool. Installing Easytutu is slightly more fun than hammering 6" nails through your eyelids. Read the install notes. Follow the install order.
Ease of use has been replaced by the BG2 tweakpack. Baldurdash has been replaced by the BG2 fixpack. Official patch first, Ascension, BG2 fixpack, unfinished business, item upgrade, BG2 tweakpack.

I guess you don't have the latest version. There's a new installer which is very nice. The new version also has a fix for the Beregost crash bug. The real hassle is having to install BG1 and BG2 beforehand...but there's really no way around that.

The amounts of XP included in this for BG1 are now very small, e.g. 10 XP for learning a level 1 scroll. That makes this a problem the other way round as the amounts are now too small for BG2 - though there is a component of the BGTTweaks mod that allows you to boost them back up for BG2.The Potty 1 wrote...
