I played Platinum with random players and in all lobbies I was,people were quiet happy there is Lone wolf among them.I had a feeling they rely on me,to pull things if situation get rough.

Why spend so much time in solo, when you could cut the time by 80% with others?

Also its harder, more time consuming. But at the same time, it is an "easy" challenge if that makes sense.

Some people like the challenge ; others have real-life limitations that prevent them from playing the usual way. I posted in another Lone Wolf thread :

Soloing was something I "had to do", mostly because of my now
3-month-old kid : at night, when his mother goes to bed, I stay up and
make sure he isn't crying or something. In order to do so, I play the
game solo with no sound (so I can hear the kid) ; I can't imagine
playing with a team and suddenly quitting in the middle of wave 6
because the kid is awake.

Or RedJohn, because of his crappy connection.

Ok, my normal ping at home is around 850ms WITHIN my own country so i spend alot of time in solo's to gather points because my friends can kill everything long before i can, i can hold my own on Gold and Plat with them but as for challenge points........I solo bronze,silver or gold whichever i feel like to try out different builds, weapon combos or if i don't feel like playing 10 games to get my Predator points up etc........I don't see what the hate is. It's one challenge out of 25 others.

I don't hate people who have the Lone Wolf banner - I've just had some "iffy" experiences with people that display it - they've, generally speaking, not been as good as I've expected them to be or haven't been the greatest team players (gone off "Lone Wolf", got downed and stomped before anyone could get to them - and they've not used gel).

From the responses I got to a thread I made on the subject I'd say random Lone Wolves are as random as any other random - the Lone Wolves I've played with in PuGs, it seems, were either having off-days or just weren't that good.

The banner itself just shows that someone has a high enough boredom threshold to be able to complete at least 8 solo runs, 1 Platinum, 2 Gold, 5 Silver (which might be respectable) but it's just as possible they did 10 Bronze, 5 Silver, 2 Gold as a KroGuard vs Geth.

Needless to say, it's a banner I'm not even going to try for, I don't have that high a boredom threshold.

Actually that is 1 Platinum+1 Gold+3 Silver or 2 Gold+3 Silver+5 Bronze.

So if Kroguard vs Geth is that easy why doesn't everyone have it?
also i always Gel if no-one can get to me or it's too much trouble and i don't Solo geth, too much Stagger for my liking, I prefer Cerb, good old Phantom bashing fun:)

People should understand that Lone Wolf not necessary good with every kits with every weapon/power on every map against any enemy with or without consumables. Sure a few of them like RedJhon can do it.
So if someone has the LW banner that doesn't mean the game will be a win-win already.

you don't need 8 runs. I did 1 plat and 4 Golds. Kroguarding Geth on Gold in 20-25 min runs because I actually do have a fairly low treshold for boredom. A potential future nerf to Geth stunlock would make this achievable even quicker.

Like I've said before, I went for the banner because it was the quickest to accquire but it's also ironically the only one accessible to just some of the player population even if you want to think otherwise.

I don't think it's not accessible, I just think it's respectable. Anyone being able to solo Gold even with a high-tier kit (e.g. GI, Kroguard, TGI...) is respectable in my book. What I do not like is this whole "you have to solo Platinum to be a respectable soloist" trend ; it's elitist and disrespectful for the majority of the player base.

Im going for Lone Wolf today and dont give a **** how how some insecure kids feel about me displaying it.
I play with the attitude of no one gets left behind so I'll use every consumable I have to save the team, but because I can solo Gold all of a sudden Im not a team player?
Some of you are straight up fools.

It is easy - why don't I have it, and why am I unlikely to ever get it?

2 reasons

1) Solo is really, really boring for me - I only muck about on solo runs if I'm testing a theory (like whether a KroGuard can detonate Fire Explosions by using Carnage > Charge ... note: you can't the cooldown on Carnage is too long even if you don't activate Barrier)

2) Because it's a co-op game; Lone Wolf is not something I'd personally want to advertise to my team-mates, it tends to imply, in my mind at least, rightly or wrongly, "Rambo mode : ON"
