Hi all,

Forgive me if I use the wrong terminology at one or two points, but I'll do my best to describe what it is I'm trying to achieve.

Anyways, I'm interested in doing a small old school mod, where I'll be playing some tricks to make Dragon Age appear more like the old Baldurs Gate games.

I've looked at the in-game options, and unfortunately there is no option for an isometric view; and I mean a real isometric view, where everything appears flattened and not in perspective.

In addition to this the in-game camera would be fixed at a specific height and angle, being only able to pan around the area.

Is there a file somewhere I can edit, or is there a mod that already accomplishes this?

Thanks! :)

I'm 99% sure what you are proposing is impossible. Input handling code is engine-level and can't be modified with scripts, so there is no way to remove camera rotation. Perspective rendering is something also built into the engine - orthographic view is basically impossible outside of the editor.

You would be better served using the Neverwinter Nights 2 mod tools at this rate.  Dragon Age looks a good deal prettier but it would be faster and more faithful to your vision to build your mod in NWN2 instead, both due to the camera perspective as well as due to the differences in how things like dialogue are handled.
