Added the Quotes from BW to the first post.

I still feel like Sheps story is not finished. I want to know if he survives or not. Creating such a hero and then leaving his fate in the unknown is a bad move in my opinion.[/quote/]

me too
but everything BW would say now sounds like crap

Then reject all the choices and return to the fight? Obviously Shep's death is implied but you can pretend.

Or uninstall the game and refuse to play.  I'm not pretending Bioware's FU to player who don't like their endings is anything but  that.

I agree. BUT only if for those who picked the destroy ending gets to see what happens to shepard after the "Breathe" scene then, in my opinion everybody will be happy and the speculation can be focused on ME4 and not ME3.

Well, to be fair to you it would be hard to counter-pretend against your own pretending.

I love the Mass Effect games, but after the events on ME3 I just can't care anymore. No matter what path you take at the end of ME3, the universe I grew to love over three games is gone. Any game they set post ME3, which is unlikely to happen given that it would involve making one of the endings canon, isn't going to be set in the ME universe, it'll be set in something else and given the treatment the ME universe was given in ME3 I just don't think I have it in me to invest all over again with the knowledge that BioWare could decide to just blow it all up when ever they feel like it.  Also, if the canon universe they set it in isn't the universe I chose at the end of ME3 I'd have even less interest in it.

The next ME game will most likely be a prequel though, and given that I know how it's all going to turn out I have no interest in playing a prequel. How am I supposed to invest in the story and characters when I know at the end the Reapers are going to invade, kill a bunch of people and then Shepard does her stuff and the universe is changed forever.

This is why I hated the ending of ME3 so much. I don't care how deus ex machina it was. I don't care there were plot holes or lack of closure. I care that it was an absolute final that killed the Mass Effect universe and series for me.

Bioware killed my Shep long ago when they made her care about a stupid kid on Earth.

She only cares about Garrus and kicking ass Bioware! That's my canon

To me, it just sounds Like Bioware's giving half the fan's the finger for not bringing back Shepard. All they're doing is hurting their sales.

Do you think if they make a film-trilogy that they'll use one of the games endings?

I disagree, they've said from the beginning this would be a trilogy. Shepard is only an avatar for the player, he/she was not distinct in their own way, the play had most of the input in what she/he said and did. Sure your hand is held and you're guided towards certain things but they wanted to tell a story and let's allow them to expand the franchise. This universe has so much potential, lets not allow the ending to sour that potental, lets not let Shepard to hold the series back, there will be new characters, better characters.

I feel the same. I really can't give a damn about the ME world after what happened with 3 and then the subsequent treatment given to people who disagreed with their chosen path (garbage extended cut and so on). I'm not a "pro/anti" ender, and I really could care less, but god damn this series self destructed in the end. No matter what they do, be it rpg or fps, I won't waste my my time cause I've seen the ending and it blows.

I'm almost glad shep is dead.

They should just do it as DLC as they PROMISED to end Shepard's story within the trilogy. They have not done that. Leaving a character's fate unknown is not bringing a close to that character's story. May as well have just made up the whole game in my head if that's what Bioware wants us to do. May as well not buy the next game since I have to make up the character's ending myself anyway.

I think that is great.
Let Shepard rest.

:)

I want to play some Han solo type character next. with a small scale personal storyline...without the need of being another trilogy (ergo = self contained)

Thought they already said the ME3 was the end of Shepard's story arc?

Yes. Repeatedly. Casey said it. Miek Gamble & Mac Walters have said it. Jessica and I have said it.

Commander Shepard's adventures took place in ME1-ME3 (and DLCs). We are working on another ME game, but it is not a Commander Shepard game.

We have no other details as to what the new ME game will be, who what where when, etc it will be. It will likely be over a year before we start talking about what the new game will be, but you're welcome to contribute what you would like to see in it until then.

At least you guys need to end the Shepard's story properly before making another ME game. Why the heck you all leave Shepard in rubbles just like that? It really pissed me off. :pinched:

I haven't touched ME3 since the EC which was no more than a band aid on the ending debacle. Why would I want to buy ME4 if ME3 is still broken?

Seems like they're just letting go of us fans who don't think they truly finished Shepard's story and moving on. They'd rather be EA's b*tch.

This just means DLC is your last hope I guess. Jessica has said the writers are very busy on DLC, which is interesting. I fully expect you will not be dissapointed once all the DLC has been released.

This is neither logically or gramatically sensible. Care to try again?
