Good luck to them.

My ME journey ends with Shepard though, so if that's it, thanks and I'll be saving my $$$s.

I would agree with this. I only got ME3 to complete Shepard's story arc.  It is, and will be, the only game I will play that has MP. My gaming time is rare and few, and I have no desire to share it with other people.

Set it in the future 500-1000 years. Give us dialogue/prologue to give us a little more closure. Make the protagonist an Asari, specifically the love child of Liara and Shepard.

If you listened to 'the fans' who proclaim such, each game has been a disaster and a deathknell for Bioware since Baldur's Gate. Jade Empire was a disaster was a disaster because it wasn't Baldur's Gate. Mass Effect 1 was a disaster because it was a shooter and moved away from the true RPG. Dragon Age Origins was a disaster because it wasn't Baldur's Gate despite being a spiritual sequel. ME2 was a disaster because it took out all the RPG elements and was a Gears of War Clone. Etc.

Bioware has always been in perpetual, fatal decline from 'the fans.' The next game which doesn't have some section proclaiming it as a fatal disaster will be the first, whereas the next game's critics will fondly look back and recall all the good perfection that was the previous game.

Basically this.  Bioware fans always do this.

Correction to what I said before: I'll buy more Bioware products but ONLY if I get more Harbinger.

Don´t blame BW guys. I am pretty sure this is EA´s fault for rushing the team into the release.

Make Joker the protagonist! You could make really short missions and a tiny single player campaign but it would drag out for ages because he can only hobble his way through everything.

I'm actually very happy to hear that this will be the case. Now, make sure not to include her in the game AT ALL, NO CAMEO.

And honestly, the game shouldn't be set in the future either. Unless you are going to make 3 entirely seperate games to correspond to Synthesis, Destroy and Control....  which of course they won't. Because unless you do, that means robbing us of any illusion of choce we had at the end by making one of them canon.

Go back. I would LOVE to see something from the First Contact War, or even earlier.

For the sequel, they can do something like this: http://social.biowar.../index/14207836

You my friend, have a quad. I also agree with you (sortof). While I hated the ending originally, the extended cut made it a little better (now I know control is best option). Plus Leviathan DLC was my second favorite ME DLC of all time (the first being Lair of the Shadow Broker). But after their "Omega DLC" they better do 1 of 2 things. Either fix the Heastrom plot-hole or have one where they explain and have us fighting the returning Collectors (with Harbinger dialog).

I won't be buying it, or any other mass effect game made.
Not because of the ending but because of the way this company treats it fans.

Bioware is better off without those so-called 'fans'.

Keep getting lied to and keep buying every mediocre thing shoved your way...thats being a "fan" right.:wizard:

Have they said whether ME4 is for this gen or next gen?

Well i'll rent the generic shooter it will no doubt be, let's be honest they started ME3 with you meeting a gears ripoff( vega) as there the new target audience anyway......question is though do we get to create/edit the hero ala shepard/warden/hawke etc....or will they give us a default hero similar to geralt.marcus fenix ......heaven forbid the latter......

I think it's good to begin something new.

Shepard's story is over. He deserved a better ending though.

Its nothing new but Shepard did have a good ending based on his/her established character.

A Bethesda Fan wrote...

“There is one thing we are absolutely sure of – there will be no more Shepard, and this franchise is finished.”

That's all I saw.

How is that when you're still here on BSN talking about ME.

Toolbox 24 wrote...

Thought they already said the ME3 was the end of Shepard's story arc?

Sadly some still need to be told this.

OdanUrr wrote...

No surprises there.

Actually the blame belongs to the small uproar with "fans" just like what happens with any franchise in any medium.

To be fair the blame does belong to the "fans" just like what also happened with ME1 and ME2.

It hasn't been offically annonced yet and I'm pretty sure ME3 wasn't ME2.

I think what they should do is make a sequel that allows us to play not a character stopping evil, but a character who is an evil mastermind who has developed a method of making a quick and easy repair to all of the mass relays. The character gives this to all of the worlds, and they use this method. Now the method works fine and the galactic economy builds just fine. Our antagonist now establishes him/herself on the old Cronos station and uses the old research and figures out a way of making the the black holes at the center of the galaxy suck in all the remaining material in the galaxy. This was the plan all along. Going through the Omega 4 relay and launching a probe that destroys the Galaxy. Once that probe is launched our antagonist's plan is to go to the Citadel, and open the mass relay and escape to a neighboring galaxy and watch the fireworks from there.

Now doesn't that sound like a cool plot? I know what you're thinking. "This plot sucks." Well yes it does. Literally. If you get away you get to feel bad about yourself and everyone hates you.

So you never say the rage in ME1 from the inventory and Mako, which are tow of the prime examples.  I'm pretty you didn't miss that like the rage in ME2 with the removal of 75% of the RPG elements, auto-dialoge, more action, mining probes, and the Mako being removed to name a few.

Play an evil mastermind? Pretty much what I got out of it anyway.

I convinced the Council that I was one of the good guys, so I got my own ship, then I maneuvered myself into TIM's camp so that I could screw him out of the Collector Base, and ultimately had the Council so wrapped around my little finger that they amassed a huge fleet of ships just to get me into the position where I could take complete control of the Reapers and by extension, the galaxy.

The deviousness of my Shep's motives and actions have rarely been seen outside of a Bond movie.

Kudos to BW, it would have been easy to go down the cliched videogame 'hero' route, but I never thought they'd give me the chance to play a galactic tyrant simulator. Awesome. Perfect.
