So, maybe it`s too early to talk about it, but come on, it`s fun) :innocent:

If the game  will be about mage-templar war, I can see these ending possibilities:

1) You side with the templars. You help them to obtain control over the Chantry and the mages. Most of the mages are killed, the others are brought back to the Circles, their condition gets  worse (they are even more opressed and controlled then it was before). The Templars become a major political power and control not only the mages, but also other aspects of people's lives.

2) You side with the mages and help them to gain their freedom. The templars are eliminated or forced to retreat. The Chantry accepts the mages (or is forced to do so?), or the mages build something like new Tevinter Empire.

3) Your protagonist worked hard and managed to achieve peace between both fractions.

And also this:

4) Some divine force interfers and says something like: "Stop it right now!".

5) Some demonic force appears. It threatens the world, so all the fractions need to cooperate.

So... Any interesting ideas, anyone? :o

I wasn`t trying to predict something, just sharing my ideas) :)

Strangely, I`ve got this feeling in ME2... But not in DAO or ME3, somehow.

I was wondering if there should be an option to becaume an abomination in DA series.. Especially if you are a mage.

Oh, you give my imagination too much to work with, lol...

...At last, the great Inquisitor has reached a magic cave where, according to old legends, the great Sword of Peace was buried in. Suddenly, a glowing nameless gnome he has once met in tavern has appeared in from hero and said:
- I am the Keeper of the Sword. I am the creator of solution.
- Solution to what? – Inquisitor asked.
- To chaos. I know your people have been looking for ways to destroy demons controlling mages. The truth is: demons will always be attracted to magical powers. I have created demons from first mages to prevent demons from destroying mages, and sent them to destroy mages to prevent... Blast, I am lost in my own logic! Anyway... The fact that you are here proves that my solution won’t work anymore. The Sword can activate three magical powers inside of it, and it is up to you to choose.
As gnome spoke, the Sword of Peace started glowing purple, then yellow and suddenly turned pink.
- The first power will destroy all the demons and they will never come back to this world. Will kill all Acrhidemons at once too. However, it will also kill all qunaries. The cave will collapse and you may, or may not survive.... The second option will let you control all the demons, however, you will become possessed yourself. All mages will now have a best buddy inside of them as demons will speak your voice. People probably will execute those mages anyway because of fear... The last option (and I am not trying to imply this is the best one, no-no), is to merge humans with demons. All you have to do is put the Sword straight in your heart (you will die, of course), and let the magic begin! All demons DNAs will be spread to merge with all humans, elves, gnomes, everyone! We all be part-normal/ part-demonic. Now pick!

Anyway, we’ll see once the game is out. Image IPB

I think the Templar Mage dispute will just be a side issue problem and the enemy will be something different so in the end the Templar’s and mages will have to agree to work together to defeat the real enemy whatever it is.

Obviously i am just guessing.

I like it :wizard:
Well, my version was to merge mages and templars.  I also thought about controlling demons... Just imagine what will happen, if your PC will have the "humorous/charming" personality :D And where is the connection between Archdemons and qunarie, I wonder. Are they relatives?

This was one of my versions, yes. And I`m just guessing, too.

Varric tells everyone who Bianca was, and it's so mind-blowing both the mages and templars die instantly. The demons turn into grasshoppers. The chantry is forced to join Dale's Dead Bug, form an empire out of it, and have Dale become the supreme leader of everything.

I foresee a ME3 type ending. You save the day and no matter what side you choose to champion, you stop the mage / templar / chantry war. Then a portal opens up and the OGB appears and destroys everything.

Then cut to cheesy bold text that says something like "And it has happened before and it will happen again" and you see Morrigan and the Warden step out in an barren land with Morrigan preggo again.

Then in true cliche fashion where the evil never dies, a quick shot of a darkspawn face popping in front of your screen, then "The End" title.

remember that they said that we must to stop the demonic forcers, so, maybe, are 2 finals, or you become corrupted and dominate the world, or you fight againts the demons and blablabla

I'd like an option to side with the Qunari, since I agree with pretty much all of the Qun to be honest, but that might cause a bit of a problem for me since I like to play as mage, though if the oppurtunity presents itself, you can bet I'll be a rogue to get that ending. Plus it'd help give a lot of diversity to my characters, since both my Warden and Hawke have been Andrastrian and pro-mage. Inquisitor might be pro-mage too, (for the sake of my companions), but Qunari at heart. But I'm getting off topic so I'll quit while I'm ahead

I only hope that the ending, whatever it will be, will be more or less clear, so there will be no need to explain things or to make a DLC like EC. I also hope that the decisions you make throughout the game will matter.

It ends with the protagonist hanging by the edge of a cliff after being chased off by his/hers former companions. And just as all hope seems gone, out of nowhere Morrigan will emerge for the first time in the game saying: "well, well, well. What have we here?" And then the credits will start rolling.

I hope you don't have to side with either templars or mages. We've done that enough already. I hope we get to rally them both for a greater cause, so that they can see that they're at their best when they work together.

However, this has nothing to do with the ending I want. This is just another plot point on the way to figuring out the secrets of Thedas. My ideal ending would be if everything clicked together, if at all made sense at the end of DA:I and then, in DA4 we solve the problems of Thedas and they all live happily ever after (of sorts).

I dislike stories that just drag on. They're never any good. Just take a look at Bleach or How I Met Your Mother or any other long running show, they never go anywhere and as they go on get worse and worse because of it. So I certainly hope Bioware has an ending in mind and is working toward it. It doesn't have to be only two games, if you've got enough content for more games, that's great, but at least show us you are indeed working toward an ending.

As for the ultimate ending I'm hoping for? Reunification with the Creators, destruction of the Forgotten Ones and eradication of the Darkspawn taint. Maybe leave Fen'Harel's fate in the middle. I'm not sure how Morrigan, Flemeth, and Sandal all fit in, but they should get appropriate endings.

Well supposedly the Mage-Templar war will end(or renew) when the peace conference gets blown to bits. The story will be about finding the mysterious person(my money is on Flemeth) who is pulling the strings to cause all kinds of sh*t.

So the ending will involve cutting down this big bad to put an end to his/her/its Shenanigans. Neither DA:O nore DA2 reeeealy had an ending choice. Especially not DA2. We will have a linear: Kill the motherf*cker kind of ending and a nice little comprehensive epilogue. Like at the end of DA:O

For the sake of continuing the story with few restrictions from imports, I would either make the fourth DA with a new protagonist in another locale again or have a "diamond" plot (where the plot starts with a few options, branches out to many paths, then returns to a single ending).

I do not prefer the latter by any means over the former, but it is a possible solution to the whole "too many import possibilities affecting the main plot".

Possible ending

- The Veil is opened, the world is full of spirit and demons, they make a party
- The Maker laughed and singing "You being trolled, you being trolled, you've probably being told...."

Seriously though, i don't want to pick side this time, Mage vs Templar, DA2 already don't that.

You won't get an ending with a choice. Its too hard to write for in the next game with the import flags.

I mean, look at ME3... there is no way possible they can make a sequel in ME4. You can't make a game that lets those three vastly different, galaxy-changing options happen and tell a coherent story.
