Neither DA:O nore DA2 reeeealy had an ending choice.
How did Origins not have an ending choice? You got to live or die, you could sacrifice someone else or take your precautions, but potentially unleash someone horrifying for the future. Those are pretty big choices to me. Are they world changing choices? Perhaps one of them, in the future, but choices can't give rise to two completely different timelines for the future. No-one should expect them to be so either. However, we got to decide how our character's story ends, and we earned that ending ourselves. That's good enough for me.

Support completely.
Thanks! A little confirmation I'm not (completely) crazy is good to hear once in a while

That should be very artsy. And After all, Bioware is all about the art.

Plot threads I would like to see resolved at the end of Inquisition:
The disappearance of the Warden and Hawk
The Old God Baby (also the repercussions of not doing the DR)
The Mage/Templar conflict
The consequences of the darkspawn Awakening
The impact of choosing Bhelen or Harrowmont on the fate of the Orlesian Thaig
The fate of the Chantry (tied in with Andraste's Ashes)
Wynne's fate (would like to see this in game; I know this question has been answered in the books)
And more answers about the eluvians
Of course I would only like some kind of answers to the main questions that have been asked so far regarding these plot threads. I would also hope to see many new questions arising surrounding these plot threads, as well as maybe a couple of entirely new plot hooks.
I think that, since these questions have been around since DA:O, it is really time to start tying some things up, or at least providing a few resolutions to some of the questions, while introducing new mysteries surrounding them. Waiting another 2 or 3 years for DA4 is quite a commitment.

You're forgetting you're addressing an EA shop. "The End" wont come as long as there is an old title they can rape, a name they can converte into a "service" or an ip within it they can "revamp" with microsales.Suprez30 wrote...

After that load-of-crap ending, I really want a truly happy ending for our protagonist (after all,all these characters have to make selfless decisions, everyone is asking for their help, etc. The least they deserve is a little selfishness, a happy ending).

DA2 didn't have an happy ending for Hawke either. DAO's DR ending could be considered happy by someone, but I would consider it a bittersweet ending.
Considering the DA writing team, I doubt we'll have a completely happy ending. A DR-level of ending could be possible, I think.

With out any leaders, the Mage and Templers wipe each other out in bloody conflicts that result in the deaths of countless innocents.

Sounds good. Like gang violence. Let them kill eachother off so you can relax!

Hmmm, I would argue about DA2. Maybe it was because I was playing it after ME3, but it seemed pretty happy to me. Hawke ran away with Anders, I didn’t care about Sebastian and his maniac “I will destroy you with my army” plans, and the rest of companions seemed to survive (at least, I headcanon it this way without seeing enough proofs otherwise). Didn’t really have a problem with it. Once again, it is hard to complain about any game now as mAss Effect 3 comes to mind every time.hhh89 wrote...

Regarding bittersweet endings and BioWare writing, I guess I can only pray, and hope, and beg: “Please, for the sake of Creator, let there be at least one happy-ending! It does not make your writing poor, it does not make it too video-gamy or Hollywoody. It will give so many people a taste of true victory! Please!

I found none of those endings happy, regardless of what you chose (if there was a "happy" ending, to me, it was always precarious). I don't want happy endings, not because I'm emo, but because they wouldn't really "fit"......or maybe I am just emo.

Your companions and whoever else comes in with you can die or get split up from you and many other possibilities depending on certain factors
you confront the enemy leader and you can convince them that what they are doing is meaningless and he should withdraw his army
maybe you can join him? defeat him? I dunno
maybe one of your companions turns out to be King Cailan (disguised/different appearance obviously) and he turns out to be the real 'villain' and maybe he has good reason for what he has done too and you can go along with his plan

I am pretty sure the main character will go out in a bang. Death is inevitable. Just watch.
Main Character dies regardless of choices in game. BSN explodes, thousands dead
But at least, unlike Shepar fiasco, they can move on the a new protag.
