Good Elven gods are released from their prison and elves retake the continent from humans and Qun followers.
(Idea was not inspired by Elder Scroll series) :bandit:
Immortal Merrill will shatter your future like some useless mirror while wearing an innocent smile on her face.

Shepard wakes up in a pile of rubble... in the middle of Denerim!

*cricket chirps*

One can dream, one can dream... I always wanted a Mass Effect / Dragon Age cross over.

But more seriously, I hope we get different kinds of endings.

You know, it almost starts to look like ME3´s ending is like the new guile´s theme.
Destroy, Destroys all magic.
Control, Control all magic.
Synthesis, Merge magic with everyone.
Refuse, everything stays the same.

Ending: During the last battle of the mage/templar war in the deep roads, the veil is torn so wide that it allows the black city into Thedas.
Side with Templars: As the Black city enters Thedas, the Templars try to mend the damage to the veil and prevent untold numbers of demons from pouring through. Templar forces immediately surrounded by darkspawn and has to have Grey Wardens/other allies save their them.Who survives depends upon just how many allies have survived throughout the war. Flemeth rallies the mages and ensures some of their survival by taking them through the fade.
Side with Mages: Same as above except Flemeth saves the Templars.
Epilogue:There is a bitter struggle going on to stem the corruption from the black city and darkspawn, devastation from the war leaves everyone hard pressed to defend their own lands. Tears in the Veil are across all of Thedas leaving more chaos and destruction. Players choices in whom they defended and how they defended leaves things in those hands to try to hold onto what they can. Also the Warden/(if did US)Warden Commander and Hawke are seen trying to stem the chaos however they can.

Intro to DA4: Eulogy as to the heros in DA3, Current affairs of Thedas, Next Scene of New protagonist having Talk with Whomever it is that has the cure for the corruption. Ask for reference to beginning of new protagonist story. flash back to the beginning of the new protagonists story and make various decisions along way. Which affects just what you have for final boss fight, destroy black city. DA universe done, cue epic epilogue.

I feel like we should figure out the beginning and the middle bits first.

My Cousland Warden wakes up, drenched in cold sweat, next to the minor noble she seduced, having had a horrible dream about darkspawn and some loser named "Hawke."

So instead of the punch in the privates of ME3, they want a punch in the gut for DA3? Not a big selling point so far!

Seriously, this isn't a game with a big bad at the end, I'm not all that invested in any characters or outcomes really.

-I could see the mages winning meaning that eventually they go unchecked and demons invade the world in larger numbers, leading the world to an apocalyspe. Could be some cool sequels.

-If magic is somehow abolished or removed from the world, I could see a boring ending, things move on, industrial revolution happens, Thedas becomes much like our world, except with demon horned dudes leading the industrial revolution and gunpower age.

-A middle ground would be cool, Thedas advances into a more technological age with magic along side it.

I'm just talking about far in the future, I'm really not all that interested in the immediate choices, since I have not been allowed to really care much, the first hero is done, the second hero wasn't interesting to me, the third is unknown.

Really? It's way better than a punch to privates or arrow to the knee (SORRY!)

Man I don't know. All I'm doing is reiterating the panel. The exact words were more like ".. a punch in the gut, but you were glad I did it"

I've played games like that before and when it was done right it was bittersweet and awesome. And who knows to what degree that will be. Awakenings was like that in you had to choose what to lose and I thought it added a fair amount of weight to the decision.

Bittersweet is the only kind of sweet for me. I really hope we get slightly different than:

"Ah, hell" mixed with "GODAMNNIT ANDERS!"

That was fine by me, but variety is awesome, I'd like less "helpless" hurt, please!
