Don't you hate when you get dropped AFTER you use your reinforcement survival pack? Please Bioware make this consumable instantenous so we don't have to die with our shields up.
Also, sometimes, when using medigels makes your character stand up, but your "camera" goes to another person as if you would have died. Your character stand still until the game realizes you really are alive, meanwhile enemies mob you like a mother******.
Thermal Emergency packs are useless. Well, sometimes in rares ocassions while playing in Platinum or Gold with the Harrier or a Granadier character yes. But for biotics, Vanguards, Engineers and sentinels it useless since maps are filled with ammo crates. I'd trade free ammo for a 3 seconds invulnerability any day. Called it Modular Insta-Shield or whatever but I bet all of you have this consumable maxed out.
Cobra Missile... this is the only consumable that I love. No complains here. I know making it a homing missile would be too much but hey, how many of you haven't missed at a bashee from afar?
Consumables.

I was having a LOT of fun with thermal packs on my Asari Vanguard the other day. I had charge and lift grenades maxed, with the grenade capacity armor. That gives, I think, 9 grenades at a time. In most cases I was able to keep my grenades stocked, but when I was low it was nice to just spend a pack and refill back to 9 without having to run around to all the ammo boxes. Not that score matters, but I was far and away the high scorer in those games.
I do agree, though, that they are less useful than other packs, they do come in very handy from time to time.

Although I respectfully disagree with the OP's opinion on thermal packs and I have never had his issues with the medigels, I do hate when I drop dead right after popping a survival pack. I am pretty sure this is a client-related issue, and should not happen on host. If it is that way, it might be hard to fix it.
But, Bioware, could you make it so that when it happens, we don't lose the ops pack? It would just make sense to me, and I think it could be implemented easily, couldn't it?

Yes, the thing with the survival packs is annoying. I only use them when I have to, so they don't work in most cases. Is it really impossible to only take them away after they actually worked? That wouldn't save lives, but at least you wouldn't use up a consumable without any effect. Would make this much less frustrating.

In rare occasions? Are we playing the same game? Using thermal clips on a grenade character is incredibly effective. Against non-bosses, thermal clip grenade spam is easily more powerful than Cobras.

Ammo packs give you a short +100% base weapon damage for several seconds. Try it and you can feel it. Use it when you need to take something down asap.
For ops packs, don't use them at the last minute. They regenerate health which is actually important for buying you the additional 0.5 sec or 1 sec before it hits health gate. Look ahead, don't just react to the situation
