So, I'm stubbornly plodding along trying to learn the toolset. I've gotten pretty far in my mod, but I've hit a snag. In order to simulate an NPC sitting or laying what I've done is set the ambient behavior to match the desired behavior, then inserted a placeable in the right position so that they appear to be using it. There's clipping in the toolset, but looks fine in-game. My problem is this: whenever I fire a converstion that uses a stage it seems to enforce a no clipping rule. When the conversation ends the NPC is shunted to the side, so that they appear to be sitting or laying in the air next to the object they previously clipped with.
Is there a way to turn off this behaviour, or just an easier way in general to get NPCs to sit and lay down on top of furniture?

Update: I figured out a workaround. I made a custom version of the placeables core script, took out the part about collision, and assigned it to my chair object. Then I disabled the physics for the character who would use it via their variables. It's a somewhat cumbersome solution, but it seems to work. I would still like to know if there's an easier way though.

try setting the ambient behavior system (in NPC's variables) to 4, the wiki describes as something that would force the ambient behavior to continue after a cutscene. It didnt work for me tho, but maybe i did something wrong.
