Who was your favorite ME2 character?
Archangel. It might be a cop out since he's been around since ME1 but I really like how Garrus had changed. It was an interesting psychological journey for me.

The single most glaring oversight in all of multiplayer is the sound effects the Turians make when their jet pack goes off. How could you guys have over looked the clear necessity of a loud "Skreeeee!" eagle sound to accompany it? Is there any chance of that being addressed in a patch?
It's possible
I rather like the soft poofy air sound they make now. Please don't change!!
But the Fury sound effects seem to be all messed up. Every time I play her or play with one, the sound from her powers (not sure if it's AF, DC or throw that's doing it), overpowers everything else - even banshee screams!
OK, real question for Derek: How often do you get online to play? I know you guys did some pick up games a week or two ago. Was that a rarity?

Hi Derek, is there any reason why the Salarians weren't included on the Retaliation DLC? I was sad when I did not see any Salarians in the new dlc linup... I was really hoping for a Salarian Sentinel...

Mr. Hollan,
The Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer was at first looked at with indifference. Many people expected it to be a tacked-on gimmick, but it turned out to be a huge success with very passionate players. Indeed while many players ask for small additions (such as more Salarian characters), other players cite more players per game and more games types (ranging from things reminiscent of Mass Effect 2's suicide mission to even player-versus-player), and other things that call for a border-line overhaul of the multiplayer mode as things that could exponentially improve the game. Has there been any talk within the studio of recreating the concept of Multiplayer on a much larger scale, perhaps as its own feature release, that incorporates some of these much-sought elements?
Certainly, it's success has definitely created a stir around the studio. I can't discuss what may or may not be in development but there is no doubt that multiplayer has made a huge impact on the team and we are excited about the possibilities. We, of course, still wish to continue making the emotionally engaging games we always have, and it is something that, if multiplayer is an addition to future development, we will want to keep those values at the core of our products.

Do you ever wonder if sci-fi stories are actually genetic memories from ages long past or if they are in fact, simple fiction?

As for my main question though, is there any official way to report bugs? I know the signal to noise ratio of something like an open thread would probably make it pretty useless, but maybe a Bioware only thread of known issues might work? The group I play with regularly experiences the same handful of bugs (usually game breaking) on Condor and Rio, for instance, and I have no idea if you guys know about them

Would this even be possible?

And if no, I would like to know why not. Not asking in a demanding way, but an explanation would be appreciated if something similar could not be implemented.

Any thoughts on adding santa hats, or festive additions to maps for the holiday season? Orange pumpkin heads for halloween? or any type of special holiday gear? Would be nice to have something special for holidays.
Also, is there any discussion on adding a selection screen to the MP lobby for Challenge Banners. Using the joystick buttons would be a very good idea since they don't do much on the lobby screen.
BTW very happy to see the multiplayer has evolved very well since release. I do love the most recent additions and changes. Thank you.

I've heard claims from sources that we won't get another patch. Does this mean Shadow Striking Atlases is a thing of the past?

Will we ever see a full "pet" class in multiplayer? That means Combat Drone, Sentry Turret and Defense Drone on one character.

Derek, has the team considered adding new Modes to MP? Someone on the board has an awesome idea about a Suicide Mission mode... Have you seen it?
It would be nice to see some new modes added now that we already have tons of guns and characters to unlock on the manifest.
Also, let me know if this is leading to much toward a NDA-blocked answer, and if I can rephrase to get some sort of answer.
While I agree many of the proposed modes are creative and...well...awesome, it comes down to how much of an overhaul the entire system would need to actually implement them. It is, unfortunately, unfeasible with our current setup and staffing.
As a programmer I've long suspected this.
I'm just hoping that interest has been sparked in BW and EA as to the future potential in multiplayer for the franchise and what a title dedicated to multiplayer could spell in profits.
Is there interest on BW's end Derek? Not asking if another game is coming ever but is it a 'heck no' or a glimmer in marketing's eye?

What's your favorite sniper rifle and sniping kit? Or if you hate sniping, whats your preferred playstyle, kit, and weapon?
I do enjoy the Valiant. I am however, and will always be, an assault rifle user. Don't much care if I am topping the scoreboards, I just like filling the air with many many rounds. We have no friendly fire because of me.
This made me LOL really really loud.
As an assault-rifle lover myself, i thank you for holding the friendly fire!!
Btw, any chance their will be new or adjusted medals to earn whilst on mission?
Surely you can bring more medals, different or just higher numbers

Hey Derek, can we get more weather effects on other maps? I love the rain slick look even when its not actually raining, and I'd be happy to keep the map dark and rain slick even without the actual rain. It looks awesome. It adds nice aesthetic variety too.
I'm all for adding more weather effects. They do add some flavour to the maps. I can't say one way or the other whether or not it will happen, but we can hope.
Whether it's cold,
Whether it's hot,
Whether the weather,
Whatever the weather,
Whether it's weather or not.
