Yes, this would require a patch.  It's hard for me to say how feasible it is.

It's a rather large undertaking for a co-op campaign.  Every time you add another player, the issues encountered in a SP campaign go up exponentially.  It would require a re-working of many of our systems.  Conversations are enormous in scope with multiple players.

Would it be feasible to treat it like the summonable Mabari hound from Dragon Age II or would that be a bit too much breaking suspension of disbelief? Maybe a holo-varren, or K9 that sleeps half the time in my brig. It's a neat little addition I'll admit, I just wish it had half the functionality of the Doctor's tin dog.

Mr. Derek, I have two questions that I'd really like to hear something official about:

1. Are there any plans to change or even remove the scoreboard mechanics? As of now, usually players will measure their contribution based on their score, which I don't really thing is an accurate representation. You've added pure support classes, like the Volus, but the offensive characters that deal the killing blows will still get the highest score, despite of the enormous debuffs your teammates are giving to enemies.

2. Lobby browser? Is there any hope for such a feature being added?

i would like to know if there's a hope to introduce prothean in ME multiplayyer because it's the best race ever designed, seriously i love them! something like an earth DLC, with new powers and a revolution of characters!
anyway i really like your work! ;)

Hey Derek,
I wanted to know what level of attention, concern and resources (if any) the team is giving to the following issues:
  • Screen shaking mechanics, especially with respect to its impact on the ability of other players to shoot.
  • Matchmaking effeciency and ping functionality, an issue which the community doesn't seem to care about discussing much, but which I feel is pretty central to user experience.
  • Origin's game-joining system, which again I couldn't get anybody to give a crap about but probably has a significant impact on user experience. I know this one might be more complicated since it involves the Origin team too, and multiplayer mechanics might differ greatly across the different games that use the Origin ID system.
Yes, I started threads on all these topics, with varying degrees of success. I still care about all these things, and would like to hear from somebody at BioWare about them.

Is there a fix coming to the vanguard glitch?  Or a new one created?  I have had a few game completly freeze my ps3 console and need restoring even it was so bad. They players in one game it happened in were charging but it did not appear excessive to me and only 2 could charge.

Will we see more hazards?   More than 2 a week or any permanent ones or maybe a extra hazard map for a mission?  The maps look alot better.

Will we see any more game modes coming to multiplayer?  Or perhaps created into a new or separate game that focuses on multiplayer?

I have noticed powers and weapons seem to work better and are a bit more powerful in sp than in mp is this intentional?

Will we get any new character classes in the future?

Are any more new enemy factions in the works?

In future Mass Effect games will there be a customizable main character or perhaps an alien species or two to play as an option for the single player game.

Instead of changing the individual multiplayer game to a large degree, would it be simple to replace extraction to lobby to instead be extraction to the next map? Imagine a map series where the maps only differ in extraction, and players go from one successful extraction to a new map...without new medi-gel, without new ops, without new cobra missiles. Depending on how extraction awards or other awards are done, perhaps each new map could raise the bonuses slightly. It'd require a counter on maps completed without leaving. New players (in the case of joining in progress) would simply have their counter at 1. If losing consumables to a lost connection were to be ignored for the moment, rejoins could have their counter reset to 1.

So a map series could be every map, one at a time, all the way to the end, at one level (e.g., silver). Or if a new map were made for something like each area of the citadel (corresponding to the single player storming of the citadel), then individual maps could be played...or they could be played in a series with extraction leading to the next map instead of the lobby. Only the link at extraction to the next map would have to differ.

Are you guys planning to fix the broken rank 5 and 6 fitness levels of the ex-cerberus Phoenix adept and vanguard? I didn't see any fixes for this issue in the last patch notes and was wondering if this was being worked on or what?

What was the thought process during multiplayer development for sync kills and quicktime events? Who thought it was a good idea? Was there any discussion about how it would be recieved?
