1. It would require a re-working and patch.

2. The bleedout effect is something we feel is the most effective means of telling people to take cover.  This has been part of Mass Effect for some time now.  Not just ME3.

Have you ever considered instead of buffing fast RPM weapons against armor instead go back to the way it was in ME2 and make slow RPM "high dmg per shot" weapons less effective against shields (mby with a code that give negative return in dmg per shot against shields) to balance it out. 

Right now high dmg per shot weapons are better against both armor and shields ( at least not less effective against shields) than high RPM weapons are.
And it would make more sense concidering that we have a tool tip that say high RPM weapons should be more effective again shields ( and that's the way it has been in previous ME games).


These are definitely questions the team struggles with.

Yes.  People playing unknown maps will hit a hazard map approximately 13% of the time with only 2 in the mix.  If they were all in the mix it would be roughly 32% of the time.

In future Dlc, is is safe to assume that the character re-skins this time around were a one time thing? It'll make no difference on how the game plays, and I feel like it's not that big a deal, but a lot of the characters use the same model.

Also, I like how the team has distinguished Ultra Rare characters as a different playstyle to justify their rarity rather than making them all-powerful kits. Since their existence doesn't "cheat" players out of an Ultra Rare weapon (because the store decides what type of item you get first, then rarity), I feel like the community can't really complain too much. Edit: Oh, oh! Something I've always wanted to know; Was the N7 Shadow originally supposed to have some version of Phase disruptor? The way she has her palm blaster shown prominently in the character selection screen implies this heavily. Also, what were you guys planning to do with their cover-grab animations? The Shadow and Slayer's description says that their monomolecular blades were "deadly from cover" as well. Sorry, I know thats a bit to read, but I'd love to know.


I can't comment about future development on any project.

I can say that utilizing existing assets like character models and skins is an efficient means of creating new combinations.

We had a few ideas tossed around for the N7 Shadow including a palm blaster but we felt the more acrobatic electric slash was visually more exciting.

Over cover grabs for the slayer and shadow had various ideas tossed around as well.
