I have three questions

1. Where do you stand on the effectiveness of Adepts, particularly biotic explosions?

2. Will cryo explosions be fixed on cryo blast at any point? Currently they do not trigger on cryo blast but the do on snap freeze.

3. Energy drain will not trigger tech explosions, fire explosions or cryo explosions. Can this be fixed?

1. Adepts spamming biotics and biotic explosions are still very effective.

2. Cryo blast has a delayed freeze which cannot trigger until the freeze takes effect.  Snap freeze does not have this restriction.

3. Unknown if Energy Drain will be affected at this time.

How much different things do you discuss at a time for balance changes? Do you set aside a week where you talk about 1 character individually or do you talk about say all Engineers at once?

We try to keep it small.  Big changes means so many things can go awry.

Some changes affect more than one thing.

After a few minutes of "Assuming direct control" repeated over and over, people want to turn their sound off and listen to music instead.  Think, "Reave", only more intense and annoying.

I rather like the soft poofy air sound they make now. Please don't change!!

But the Fury sound effects seem to be all messed up. Every time I play her or play with one, the sound from her powers (not sure if it's AF, DC or throw that's doing it), overpowers everything else - even banshee screams!

Edit - And with regards to Giant at night being aesthetic... try playing as a Fury with AF on, with a vorcha using the flamer right next to you while lightning flickers everywhere. Can't. See. Anything.

OK, real question for Derek: How often do you get online to play? I know you guys did some pick up games a week or two ago. Was that a rarity?

We try to play often.  Much of our time is in a test environment.  Too much of a good thing still means you need regular breaks though. 

Pick up games are at our own discretion unless sponsored by Microsoft and Sony in "Play with the dev" events.

Is there any chance down the line, no matter how slim, that we may eventually be able to sync our Manifests cross-platform? I understand that it might be an issue with the PS3, but between 360 and PC, perhaps? I've got a tonne of friends who place ME3 on the PC and I'd be interested in picking up a copy of the game down the line to play with them, but after all the work I've put in on the 360 starting over is so unappealing that I'm inclined not to bother.

That decision resides higher up the pay scale than I.

First off, hats off to you guys on the recent patch and the challenge system. It seems like it's a hit with pretty much everyone I know who plays, and it's nice to see a mode I never thought I'd care about still getting support. I'd sort of like to kick you guys some money, but as my manifest is pretty much maxed out, I'm not really that excited about buying packs anymore. Any new ultra rares coming out anytime soon?

As for my main question though, is there any official way to report bugs? I know the signal to noise ratio of something like an open thread would probably make it pretty useless, but maybe a Bioware only thread of known issues might work? The group I play with regularly experiences the same handful of bugs (usually game breaking) on Condor and Rio, for instance, and I have no idea if you guys know about them

I can't comment on anything future.

As for bugs, you can PM a BioWare employee or post on the forums.  They do get read.  We don't often comment on bugs but we do investigate claims.

This is something that would have to be discussed with the team but it is likely that a patch would be required, of course.

Any thoughts on adding santa hats, or festive additions to maps for the holiday season? Orange pumpkin heads for halloween? or any type of special holiday gear? Would be nice to have something special for holidays.
Also, is there any discussion on adding a selection screen to the MP lobby for Challenge Banners. Using the joystick buttons would be a very good idea since they don't do much on the lobby screen.
BTW very happy to see the multiplayer has evolved very well since release. I do love the most recent additions and changes. Thank you.

Please understand that, as part of a team, I will not betray my fellows and give ammunition for people to use against them.

That being said, there can often be debate among the team and some balance changes are met with resistance.

So, the short answer...yes, but I ultimately understood and agreed with the reasons.

Common weapons by nature are weapons we fully see as equipment peole will eventually shelf.  Uncommons a little less so, and rares are the top tier with many filling niches.  Even ultra-rares are intended to offer a slightly different style over replacing golds.

Don't you think that while there is a rotation of hazard maps there should be available only hazard version of the map when it's its week? I remember Jos saying somewhere that you can't control the weather, so how is it possible that there's always non-hazard map available but not a hazard version?

It has to do with the odds of landing a hazard map over not having a hazard when choosing unknown map.  1 in 10 chance over 1 in 3.

My assumption is that he has and has just chosen not to reply to it for whatever reasons, but I figured I'd ask you since he has ignored the message I sent to him inquiring about this.

I know Eric does read the forums regularly but, given the size and scope of some requests or questions, he just does not have the time to address them.
