Any closer to resetting the faction mastery challenge progress after banner's already been unlocked? Also, did you save the Quarians or let the Geth wipe them out?

The Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer was at first looked at with indifference. Many people expected it to be a tacked-on gimmick, but it turned out to be a huge success with very passionate players. Indeed while many players ask for small additions (such as more Salarian characters), other players cite more players per game and more games types (ranging from things reminiscent of Mass Effect 2's suicide mission to even player-versus-player), and other things that call for a border-line overhaul of the multiplayer mode as things that could exponentially improve the game. Has there been any talk within the studio of recreating the concept of Multiplayer on a much larger scale, perhaps as its own feature release, that incorporates some of these much-sought elements?

Hey Derek, can we get more weather effects on other maps? I love the rain slick look even when its not actually raining, and I'd be happy to keep the map dark and rain slick even without the actual rain. It looks awesome. It adds nice aesthetic variety too.

Honestly, it exceeded what we expected.  We knew it was fun..to us.  But we were nervous about fan reaction.

It has turned into a phenomenon that has made myself, and everyone else here very happy.  I give a great deal of kudos to the Montreal team who painstakingly put their reputations on the line for it during the majority of the development.

Post ship...Your support has turned it into something more.

It might be too in-depth game mechanic, but I'm still baffled by the Reegar's mechanics such as how many times it hits per "shot" and how many shots per clip it gets.

Not sure if it's been asked, but I'm curious about a new game mode. Is this something that could be feasible in the future for DLC, or is it kind of a "Wait for ME4" kind of deal?

Also while I'm here, would I get in trouble for modding the colours of my guns via the Coalesced? I did it in SP and a red Crusader is a sexy looking gun.

Perhaps the biggest letdown for Retaliation for me was the lack of Harbinger trash talking us during collector matches. You guys said there were technical issues that prevented this, but might we see... Or hear, rather, Assuming Direct Control in a future patch and/or DLC pack?

How about the Assualt Rifle and Pistol HV Barrel, will power damage ever be added?

Right now Sniper, Shotgun, and even SMG HVB are superior.

Are you going to release new maps ? Maybe maps inspired by old lcoation from Me1 and Me2 ?

I would really enjoy playing again in the Noveria spaceport, the place with the steam-river fountain. The ambience was really perfect with the concrete wall and the snow blizzard outside.

Or jsut on Illium or Omega.

Personally, i'd love if you could add a "spectator mode". Even if it's just for people on your friend list. I've got this little group of people who always play together and I hate it when there is 5 of us online, and one player just can't see what's happening and see all the fun and action.

Further customizations would be cool.  This would require an additional pack however.  Everyone would have to download any and all customizations just for it to display.  So, at this point, there are no plans for this.  Can't say it will never happen though.  We can hope.

Is this the same restriction on customising colours for biotics, tech armour, omni blades etc.? I would very much enjoy having an orange primer for my biotics. Rainbow explosions!

That was certainly the idea behind the Giant hazard map.  Yes, hardly a hazard...Oooh! It's dark...Spooky, eh?

The other hazard maps affect visibility or have a damage mechanic.  Giant is the only one that is aesthetic.

Was there any point the in the Hazard development process that you folks thought about making it Flashlight Dark, like the lower Tuchankan ruins section in the Single Player campaign? If so, was it ever playtested and found to be too much of a pain, or?


It was that dark at one point during development and it became nearly unplayable...so, yes, a pain. Image IPB

I assume they're similar to the Late Night Jalapeno Popper Doritos from a year or two back. We don't have them here in the US anymore, unfortunately. :( Super jelly, dude.

Sorry to say but, the choice for Giant was purely aesthetic atmosphere.  I kinda like it, personally.

This! I love the 'dangerous' hazard maps, but I really like the aesthetic change. Thanks Derek for spending some time with us. My question:

Are the large-scale, community organizing weekend operations a thing of the past at this point? Subquestion: how the hell do you deal so successfully with the forum nastiness? I feel like you all do an amazing job, IN SPITE of the ridiculous, whinging nature of so many BSN posts! Keep it up.

We have considered adjusting brightness of some of the choices though...Make some more...erm...vibrant.

Is there any chance we could receive a co-op mission mode? Something that could possibly parallel the single player campaign in terms of lore (obviously shorter), but which we would fight through in groups of 2-4?

Would it be feasible to treat it like the summonable Mabari hound from Dragon Age II or would that be a bit too much breaking suspension of disbelief? Maybe a holo-varren, or K9 that sleeps half the time in my brig. It's a neat little addition I'll admit, I just wish it had half the functionality of the Doctor's tin dog.
