Over the past month we received many reports of players gaining unfair advantages in Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer by exploiting the game using the infinite missile glitch, the invincible vorcha glitch, changing their weapon stats, modifying game credits and XP rewards gained per match etc.

All reports sent to ME3MPCheaters@BioWare.com have been investigated by our team and today we banned an additional 731 players from Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer. We do not condone exploitation and we will continue to take decisive action against those who violate our policies. We wish to keep Mass Effect 3’s online environment engaging and its leaderboards legitimate.

So it's Bioware's fault that people cheat? Last I remember, Bioware doesn't hold a knife to anyone's throat forcing them to cheat.

And as frustrating as the store may be, it is not broken. Sure it could be more generous, but that is not an excuse for breaking the terms of use for this game. If their whole reason for playing the game was just to get items, then they shouldn't have been playing in the first place.

way to give people named Jeremy a bad name.

No.... they really don't.   the store isn't even really that bad.  so it's a random store.  you don't need maxed out gear to play the game.   my lvl 1 saber still kicks butt.   Maxing rares is just a matter of time with PSPs....  you can see mine... all maxed up until this DLC - and the new rares will be maxed soon....  it's really not all that bad.

and if they only cheat because of the screwed up store... why is it the vast majority of players seem to play legitimately?  Logic would dictate that the store was driving people to cheat - there would be far more cheaters.   So many people are pissed at the store.   very few people cheat and glitch.

Look - if you cheat, whatever [the proverbial 'you' not the person i am quoting necessarily].   if you cheat in private - i don't really give a crap.  if you cheat in a public game... you're being rude and inconsiderate to three other people who want to enjoy the game.   If you're just in it for pretend money to get pretend items..... why are you wasting your time playing it?   And anyway ---  pretty sure the vast majority of the glitchers/cheaters know the risks when they do it.   'if you can't do the time, don't do the crime' and whatnot.   I HOPE bioware is taking things like how and where the cheating takes place into consideration.   i hope small scare cheaters who cheat only in private are treated with considerably greater leniancy ....  but for the folks who ruin public matches.   the folks who waste 15-20 minutes of three other people's lives....   ban them.   ban them before they screw over anyone else.   if someone in a lobby said to me "hey i'm going to glitch this next round"  i would say "thanks for telling me" and leave the lobby.  and NOT report them - they had the decency to inform me.   If you're not doing it, you're simply trapping people into a situation where they waste their time... or their consumables.   most of us don't play the game just for the credits -- so we don't WANT to sit around for 20 minutes watching someone else cheat the way all through the game.

Why is the N7 #1 in the world still there(XBOX)? I personally sent an email with pics about him. I am starting to wonder if these ban waves are really just bullsh*t. I'm sure there were others that turned him in. No one climbs rank as fast as he did.

I think that this is the best move for bioware... ban people right before COD and Halo 4 comes out... I would have a lil more respect and faith in banning people if we could ban from making video games when they say they fix something or made something better... Which missile glitch patch number is this? I think I lost count...

Not true. People glitch cause they get pissed off at the game for glitching as well or they just take the copy to the game store and trade it in. There are so many used copies of the game at my local gaming stores. It's kinda sad actually.

I managed to contribute one for this ban wave.  Unfortunately, the cheaters seem to be avoiding me.    I wonder if Bioware managed to tidy up the Challenge leaderboard and rid all those who exploited the Platinum solo glitch.

Honestly, considering how competitive people get over the smallest things, I doubt the ME3 Top Ten list will ever be truly cheater-free.

there's a sharp knife in my kitchen that means i have to go stab people......um no, these people, and i'm guessing yourself, knew the action they took was against the rules, the spirit of the game and morally wrong and they did it anyway, they made a concious choice to cheat and are now being punished for it.
