This is probably obvious but I assume that the notification will be when I attempt to play multiplayer later?  Is there any way of checking via the N7 HQ?

You just banned them? No warning or anything? That's a bit a harsh.

They gave up their right to play the game the moment they started breaking the rules. Cheaters are ruining this game. Good riddance to them.

Not that I have knowingly cheated but I did play as the Vorcha soldier quite a bit recently!

Just played my first game where someone cheated, and honestly, it pretty much ruined the match; I already sent an email with some in game snapshots. Map was Hydra and a demolisher with a Black Widow decided to just go into that far corner from the LZ and snipe. In one wave, we all died and he spent a good 3-4 minutes sniping the lone Geth Prime left... just sad and pathetic.

Seeing players do that gets my blood boiling. Firebase Hydra is one of the easiest maps. You don't even need to cheat when you can hold that room with the blue orb thingy. I'd imagine it's actually easier to do it this way rather than cheat.

Bioware has every right to ban people who cheat, but I think it would have been a good deed and more logical to give a warning first. A lot of the people who were cheating would have stopped.
Plus I think it'd be better if they were allowed to play agian and then if they stop cheating the ban is permanantly lifted.

I got real pissed off the other night because a friend of mine wanted to do a gold match and it ended up being with a scrub missile glitcher. It really sucked because it was his first ever gold match and he wanted to step up to the challenge. The whole thing got ruined by some pos player who we both reported. I hope he gets banned forever.

Hilariously, this missile glitcher was just terrible and burned through 5 medi-gels along the way.

1) No - there is no need for a warning. They know what they are doing

2) "if they stop cheating". Over what time period?  Why would it be better if they could play? one of your friends or something?

You know that "terms of service" thing you agreed to?

Should have read that huh?

That was your warning.

from the tone of the posts it seems like some people are really upset. Please calm down and look upon this with reason. I think it would be a reasonable statement to say that most of the players who still play regularly have noticed that it takes longer to find a match and that they get put in matches that are already in progress more often. Now in these circumstances why would you shrink the player base when it can be easily averted?

If you're missile glitching, you're hurting the playerbase by turning off those who actually want to play the game the way it was intended to be played.

Seriously, you need to make a less buggy game if your policy on 'cheaters' has no warnings.
I once had ALL my powers completely maxed out on lvl 19, no idea how, and since I promoted him I havent got it now. That could have easily been mistaken for 'cheating', so fix your damn game!

But yeah, if a match I'm on sucks, I quit and find a new one. If someones cheating, I still get paid at the end of it, so whatever. Its just ironic how the ones totally obsessed with leaderboard ranks are calling cheaters 'sad'...

I'm not saying let people continue cheating, I'm saying banning is not the best solution.

Banning is not a solution it is as shame as is cheating, the solution is simple.
FIX the game and upgrade the servers.
Devs are selling and we are buying so please make your product better.
This is the only way, banning is like trying to cure cancer with aspirin....
Sorry for my English but the point is clear.

Hey y'all. .... technically not supposed to be dropping alleged cheaters tags on this thread as far as I can recall.... pretty sure its a violation of site rules. Use the me3mpcheaters email address.

I only just heard something about this so called "Infinite Missile Glitch" a few hours ago through general chat whilst gaming on multi-player & had no idea what it was all about!
Well I can truly say that I do not or even know how to cheat & I was shocked when I read that 731 people were banned & I do not blame Bioware one bit!
For I believe that when one does these things then it eventually affects the rest of us!

break the rules at a Bar or Nightclub and see what happens, you wont even get to finish drinking that expensive drink with the umbrella when they get a hold of you and they definitly wont refund your entry fee.

it is the way the world works people, better get use to how it spins.

That is generally true. But bars/nightclubs usually hve their rules clearly posted in simple english..... they are a little more obscure here. Not saying don't ban the big time cheaters, I just think a more measured response would be appropriate (though by all reports, they send out lots of warnings too, and just ban the most agregious offenders (sorry if I butchered the spelling)).... also, in a bar or nightclub, depending on severity, you're likely just to get a "hey, knock it the f off" from the bouncer at first.

Its also the fact that, if this was a game which killing other players was the aim, cheating is absolutely inexcusable. In this co-operative game one might think that cheating will actually aid their fellow team mates win the objective and cash in at the end. Nothing to do with points or leader boards.

Honestly, I think the one solid reason why they choose to ban players instead of the many alternatives, is because (I assume) the only way to get back online is to buy a new game. Its all about the money.

Anyway, I love this game, Bioware did a fantastic job. I just hope they fix this one little problem.

I spend time, consumables, effort and hardship winning matches together with my fellow players who most probably try to do the same. Sometimes with good teamwork, other times a bit less. Still, credits are earned, items and classes are unlocked slowly but steadily through an honest effort.

To violate that on purpose by cheating, is to show that you do not care for the above. It is to be punished most harshly, in my book.

Next to that, cheating is a violation of the Terms of Service.

To not fix the exploit that Bioware claims is  cheating, is to show that you do not care for the above. Bioware should be held accountable and  punished most harshly, in my book.

There... fixed that for you.

No one is to blame for another person's behavior. Bioware is not responsible for others behaviour ad has every right to ban them for thos specific behaviour,However I think it is too harsh to ban people for cheating, bioware should have every right to do it though.
Also people might not believe in teamwork and honesty, that doesn't give anyone the right to punish them.
