Also people might not believe in teamwork and honesty, that doesn't give anyone the right to punish them.

If Bioware is not responsible for their behavior, what makes them responsible for their gameplay? There are a few flaws in that statement because it is the responsibility of both.

Bioware only has the right to ban who they think are 'cheaters' because THEY MADE IT their right, not because its the right thing to do. That's the point.

If you know your cheating, you deserve to be punished, heck you deserve to be banned. But there needs to be more moderation for those that fall into the grey area, who end up in a situation where they unknowingly take advantage from an unintentional glitch. Its happened to me before, before I heard of this banning policy, now I fear if it happens again they'll think I'm doing it on purpose.

They have the right to impose limitations to the use of their product and in this case this is the limitation they have put in place.

How does banning people help the game? if a warning will stop people form cheating why ban them and decrease the size of the player base?

Bioware does not make any legal promise that their product will be perfect or that there will not be any technical issues that can be used to play the game in a manner that it was not supposed to be played. However it does make a demand, and it has the right to demand, that people not exploit these technical issues.

I didn't read through all 15 pages so if this has been already answered, forgive me for asking again. Just now I joined a modified game where when you throw 25 or so cluster grenades at the cost of 1. Threw it once and it cleared the whole spawn which resulted in killstreak medal lol and I also got grenade damage challenges done which I didn't want to. I quit the game immidiately after that. Question: will there be any consequences for me?

I'm all for people being warned before being banned, but some people wont head the warning and cheat all day long. I stopped playing CS:S back in the day when everyone started cheating and Valve did nothing about it, playing fairly became pointless, even if they where on your side. On ME3 at the minute its not too bad because there are very few cheaters, I've only ever seen one (and he didnt score very well). But if banning was removed altogether, then things would get worse. Thats when the player base gets decreased.

I absolutely believe people should be warned first, but remember a warning will give them a *chance* to stop, cant guarentee that they will listen. Thats when the ban should come into play.

You will be fine. BioWare has said before that you can actually complete the match if you are worried about having wasted the equipment you put on in the lobby. Just as long as you leave that lobby immediately afterwards and do not play with the cheater again.

The ones they're going after are the cheaters themselves and those who park themselves in the lobby and repeatedly benefit from the cheater.

Jamofend I agree and you know I think the credits from MP are awareded properly per difficulty except the platinum which I think the credits should be increased to 300 -> 350,000 cause the amount of stuff you need to use in thoes chease nightmares is worth something more than 275,000

I guess the point I'm trying to make is this: missile glitching is mostly referred to as cheating. It's not a glitch anymore. It's a bannable offense, not a fixable glitch. As a glitch needing fixing, it's understood as a part of the game that wasn't intended and players could do it but its cheap and frowned upon. As a bannable offense, it's a part of the game (intended or not) and its the player's fault (intended or not) if done. There is where I have a problem. Does the Vorcha glitch fall under the same category as the missile glitch? According to everyone quoting or linking the ToS to their posts, yeah. Does it still happen? Very rarely, but according to the ToS, it's my fault I do it (intentional or not) so I either report myself before Bioware gets to me cause if I get banned, well it's too late then. See where I'm going with this? Bioware is fixing their game by slapping in their ToS that any unfair advantage (basically any glitch that gives the player, not the computer, an unfair advantage) that is found is to be reported and is bannable if purposefully used.

I don't mind a glitch being reported or even fixed. I do mind when a glitch (especially one I didn't make of plan to use) I find, or find another way to do, and I could be punished for it because, and only because, it's not my game and they can do whatever with their game. And instead of spending time to fix the glitch, they split it to ban people who use it instead of making it so that no one can use it. That's my problem.

I have a question. Is it possible for a person to get banned for doing a single solo platinum game using the missile glitch?

No, hiding the rocket launcher is only visual.

Actually using unlimited missiles is bannable however. Do not do it.

:| Apparently they do banning outside of the ban waves, and for people who are just hitting up random lobbies, because I now no longer have access to MP, and I am getting zero responses back from EA Support for the cause and no response back from the Account Status. So I guess I'm locked out of the event and am not being told why.

A probationary period is not feasable. From what I understand, the MP development team is understaffed. There's no logic in them handing out warnings to cheaters when it takes considerable time and effort to gather data to confirm that the reports are true. If they did receive some kind of warning, are BioWare really going to check the after match statistics of 731 players every day to ensure they aren't exploiting this glitch?
In my honest opinion, banning them does not do more harm than good. Most of the glitchers I've come across know what they're doing and won't stop. They need to be shown that this behavior is not tolerated.
The only other alternative is to give them a credit wipe and remove all of their uncommon, rare and ultra rare weapons, characters and gear.... and reset their common weapons back to tier 1. And their N7 rating.... and.... you know what? Just take everything away from them. Make them start over again. If that task is too daunting, then they can still leave on their own accord.

Missile glitching relies on lag.  Its not possible to do as a solo player.
